What did you do to your Ram today???

Sooooo finally took my BRAND NEW Ram out for a small spin today (Lovin that 3.92 gear and GT exhaust out back lol) and I get home, shut it down, go inside for a minute. Come back out and start it up and all of a sudden the 4 shifter lights above the knob start blinking and it won't go into gear. F*******!!!! Swear summore, shut it down and go inside to stew. Come back out 5 min later and it'll go into gear, but a yellow check engine light is still on. WTF.

Thoughts? Just an ECU fart? I have a scanner at work I can plug in and see and probably reset it, but GD it, I don't want to have to go to a stealership if I don't have to.

Got to drive my friends RHO and did that. Those Hurricanes are quite impressive.
That they are. I'm unsure of reliably and longevity but time will tell. I'm hoping for the best 😁
From my experience smaller engines being stressing to the max by force doesn't work out well but it is possible.

Maybe in the 80s but BMW, Merc, Audi have been doing it for decades with no issues.

I have a Audi Q5 that's turbo'd, not a single issue and before that an A6

Is it a sticker or a badge? I thought they were putting badges on 26 he is?
They sent me those stickers when I bought the tungsten, don't know why
Sorry, yes, a badge.

BMW didn't make any turbo cars from 94 to 13 that I can remember. I was there fishing out exploding plastic water pumps.
The 335 isn't what I would say was a reliable. Its fun and exciting but had many issues.

Unless you are replacing it with a TRX I'd have a hard time justifying it

Between the accident, it's age and me wanting a 25 Tungsten for the indigo/seasalt interior, it was time.

I drove my 2003 till it had no value and I'll expense it through my business.
Justifying it is subjective to each person so that's hard to say from one person to the next. I can't justify a TRX but many can.

Also, I paid $54k new, drove it for 5 years/97k miles and got more than 1/2 my money back

Good thing the a hurricane in stock form isn't stressed to the max

Sounds like a software glitch. Scan to code to see what it says then clear it out. They are still working the bugs out of the new canbus architecturez and despite what people want to believe, putting the Hemi back in Rams isn't going to magically fix that.

Modern M cars are. They used to just have n/a V8s.
Yeah I remember the V10 M5s and older NA M cars, I'm talking about the modern ones, since the mid 2000s , still the reliability argument is moot since it has a warranty and I'll buy the extended just like I did on the 20.

Mine hast done that but I did get an Injection module code a while back. Cleared it with my scanner and hadn't seen an error since

Theres some software bugs in the new canbus system, I just got the recall notice for the digital dash and the purge valve but I've not had any issues

Well gents, went back out there to futz around with the truck and the check engine light was off.

She has redeemed herself. lol

Now I have to take the knee panel off to get to fuse 54 for the radar detector. ugh

Last time they'll be together. Black one goes back tomorrow. Lease is up Monday. She's been a good truck. All except that damn starter. lol

Unfortunately, I don't live in the modern world much. I was active and still in love with the E36 and E46. I was in part of the E90/E92 stuff but I was there.
I was 48 years old when I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and I'm 55ish now. I lost a large amount of time freaking out and in self pity. I good now but slow

Hi. What fixed the issue? Did it just go away on its own?

Yessir. After a total of an hour and a half or so, it went away on it's own. Still going to plug it in tomorrow and see if there are any stored codes.
