What did you do to your Ram today???

I have not. It'll get me through the winter then I can buy or make something new.
I did see some new products when I was picking up extra primer. I wasn't in the mental space needed to select a new product on demand. 🤪
try it next time!
maybe it will be the last time you worry about it hahaha

first time i've heard of seymour 316 lol
maybe i'll give it a shot on the next truck when i do sliders!

decided to take a break from BF6 (due to... this is my first high refresh rate OLED 34" curved screen... i was getting dizzy LOL) and was bored.
so ended up doing a long-overdue wash (last time I washed my M3 and the truck was August)

earlier this week, I was migrating my data from all the portable hard drives (about 12TB total) and was going through the photos from the past few years, and I missed how shiny the truck's exterior plastic trims were (bumpers and flares). So I decided to do something about it and was told to get Cerakote Trim Wipes.

Today, I was bored so... (no pic of washing the truck)

(after - I coated the inside of the flare too because... i was bored)

(after - the flare trim was the same color as the liner before)

(after - i did the bottom piece under the bed and bumper as well)

don't know how long it well last, supposedly it is "permanent" according to Cerakote, especially with my usage. but for $17/ box of 10 i figured why not lol

Installed the core 4x4 rear end links. Question, do I need to also install a washer on the top bushing between the frame? I only did it on the side facing outward? No instructions came with the links.
I have the Core4x4 with JJoints, so for me, running the endlink to the outwards side of the swaybar gave a more perpendicular angle (and I reasoned more leverage on the swaybar being on the outside of the bar than the inside..probably not).
I used the aluminum spacer that came with my endlinks and put a washer on each side of it for extra thickness also.
When I mocked mine up with no spacer on top and with the endlink on the inside of the swaybar, the endlink had a lot of angle or slope to it..I like this setup better, for me.
You don't have to put a washer on the inside of your upper mount, some lube wouldn't hurt though. You can put one on the inside if you want also though.
I like to put washers on both sides of any "clearanced" sleeve in a poly bushing because I never feel like the sleeve is quite long enough from most manufacturers and a washer can help give the bushing a little "play"..but that's just me.
I'm a huge JJ fan because ALL possibility of binding is eliminated.

I'm just noticing..you must have the Mopar 2" Lift?
I see that trackbar/panhard relocators in there.
I bought the relocators and hardwire kit off Ebay last year for cheap, but haven't seen the need for them yet.

Is that enough damage to contact the insurance over? Do you plan on upgrading or going back to stock?
Not that it's any of my business 🤪
Its the other ladies insurance I'm filing against, if they give me enough to upgrade the bumper I'll get a heavy duty one like she had on her jeep, 1/4" steel!

I’m over a year from using the Cerakote wipes on all my black plastic bits and it all still looks as “wet” and nice as the day I applied it. And that’s with automatic car washes at least 2x/month.

Applied it at the beginning of last summer.

Glad to be done with trim dressings that last a week and run all over.

Pictures or links?

$600-1200 on Mopar site. There are in between, but without knowing exactly.. GUESSTIMATE

Don't forget the cost of labor and shop time, and the rental fee when they come at you with an offer of 400 bucks. ;)

Keyword...GUESSTIMATE and only showing cost of bumper ;) Anybody in their right mind knows there's added costs.
I had to deal with state farm 2ish years ago when some one totaled out my 2016 Ram 1500. They definitely try to low ball you! I'm gonna talk to some adjusters and get several quotes and only give them the highest one.
