What did you do to your Ram today???

Spent last week in Gatlinburg, Spent the whole week dodging silly slammed cars.the ones with the asinine camber. 4 cylinder cars should not be loud, it's just annoying
It got so bad, Sevierville government cancelled the last day of the show at the convention center and urged all attendees to vacate the area (meaning at least the entire county) in a legal and expeditious manner. And the Sheriff announced a zero-tolerance policy.

In followup announced early the next week, the event is now not invited back next year.

I heard and watched some of that on you tube. I just don't get it. I messed with some imports in my day, but why?
It's the most disgusting group I've had to deal with. It makes no sense to me and I hope they are gone for good 😵‍💫

It’s not fair to label all import guys as the problem. Every group has their dumb a’s and like a lot of things now a days people can’t think for themselves. They rather follow or mimic someone else rather than think for themselves.

But what went on there was straight up foolishness. I think in general that car show or what ever they call it should not be allowed to host any where here in the U.S.

I don't think they should ban them outright but there should be severe consequences for idiots. A car show is a "CAR SHOW". You drive to the event, park your car and show it off. No stupid tire burn or doughnuts, show your car, be proud of it and have fun.

You would like to think you could weed out the degenerates. The problem is there base are degenerates with very little good around them.
I can't see anything useful or good they do. Maybe destroying annoying cars in general because they become worthless after the mods they do.

They should just impound their cars for illegal mods. This is a safety concern. If the cops see one of them on the road, impound it, they will stop driving around like that.

They've ruined car culture and it's a large majority of the import guys. This same event had a dumb855 get arrested for having a loaded tech 9 in plain view. Officers heard his car with that idiotic gunshot/burble tune and went towards him then saw the gun; this happened af Jimmy's market/GAT.

Then you have the intersection takeover crowd doing donuts and running into people then trying to flee. Then there's the import driving donkeys "swimming" through traffic driving like a holes and the other stupid F's in Houston swaggjn. All these people have collectively ruined the car culture.

I dont even take my car out that much any more unless it's a track event somewhere. F these car meets/shows

Yep, no matter the group, there's always a "those" people that show up to do nothing more thanbe a nuisance and cause problems revving and doing burnouts.

Agree it is not fair to label all, and there is no evidence any of the problems were associated directly with the show organizers or even that any of the problem people attended it. There were problems associated with the event the previous year. There are also certain "Karens" here who have a problem with any car event in this region so I do ignore those, the events were here before they were.

Still there is a problem with this crowd and I hope that community makes an effort to to police itself. Just like the "responsible" diesel truck guys have had it with rolling coal, and like those on the muscle car forums have had it with side shows and "takeovers."

It is not that I did not have a time in my youth when it was a matter of pride to be rude, crude, and socially unacceptable, I went through such a phase. But for what was going on around here? It was over the top and worthy of at lest a weekend in jail. We have a section of road in the National Park known as the Foothills Parkway. Wonderful bit of road, most posted 25 mph. Lots of pullouts with views and very popular for the various car clubs to hang out for a while and socialize. It was closed early Saturday due to racing. Then Saturday night, there was a takeover of a gas station/store and police had to escort the employees out. That and a buch of other events lead to kicking the entire event out by Sunday morning.

They aren't safe at all and you don't need to be an engineer to figure that out. I'm not one for banning or rejecting any group in general.
These people are dangerous and we don't need to see a bunch of death before we stop it. They cause damage and arrests EVERYWHERE they go. It's them.
I'm gonna stop my old man complaining because this is probably not the right area to have the discussion.

I don't take my toy out in general when there is any event in the area, it sure is a pleasure when they are not here. I do enjoy some of the shows though I plan any trips into town around them.

There are safety concerns. The Carolina Squat trucks get impounded, officers carry tape measures now for the squat. Some of these slammed cars are so off-camber, they can't be getting ore than 300 miles out of a set of tires; several shops stocked up this year based on the expected demand and I'm sure they sold most of the inventory.

One of the cars pulled over at Jimmy's got a ticket for "damaging infrastructure." This owner/driver was complaining on the Book of Faces about it, she had nothing to do with what was going on at Jimmy's. She was just driving by. Anyway, her car was so slammed she scraped the road. Her ticket is $2,500. I nearly fell out of my chair when I read it, I was laughing so hard. Not for the fine, but that she somehow felt she had been wronged. Had enough tow trucks been available, she probably would have been working to get her car out of impound. All hands were on deck that Saturday night, city, county, state, and mutual aid from other counties. Response times were still running well over a half hour even for hit & run incidents where the responsible party was boxed in by citizens. She is in the group her community needs to police, not just those who took over Jimmy's or that got the Foothills Parkway closed, lots of crap went down. They are absolutely not welcome back.

Did she think she was too cute to get a ticket lol.

Replaced the spark plugs. All 16 with new NGK. I was surprised NGK is what came out factory. I was expecting mopar. 82k and 3500 hours. They were showing some definite signs of degradation and wear.
Mopar doesn't make any parts. They contract out to other companies and just rebrand. NGK is the main supplier for spark plugs for Dodge/RAM . And all you will find in the Hemi.
