I was where you are now. It was not a case of the cameras being taken and sold. It's a case of the cameras never being included with the truck. There isn't a p/n for a camera kit that work with 2025 or 2026 trucks.

So why is my truck all wired up, ready to go, but just missing the trailer cameras factory-installed module, and the gateway in the truck wired to the rear bumper? Also, I called Stellantis Accessory Support, and they ran my VIN number and confirmed it is supposed to be with my truck, and it came from the factory ready to go. The towing mirrors I have on my new 2025 Night Edition Laramie, I hate them, they block your view when turning, and could possibly run someone over that's how bad the towing mirrors are. I curse them

They definitely take some getting used to. I have to be much more vigilant when making turns at intersections to make sure there isn’t a car or a pedestrian there once I got used to them they are OK but there’s a definite learning curve.

Drivetrain control module probably needs to be replaced. There’s been issues with them killing batteries.

How do you go about testing for this to be proven to be faulty? Is it as simple as just saying my batteries keep going dead and they should know that is what the problem is.?

I was told by our area field service rep that if the part number ends in “AH” or older it needs to replaced. The technicians should be able to see the part number with a scan tool.

There is another thread started on the trailer camera issue. Bottom line, there are two possibilities for cameras . . . the surround view that would appear on the center screen, or a simple trailer camera that would display on your Digital Rearview Mirror. NEITHER HAS BEEN RELEASED YET for the 2025, despite the truck having all the wiring and modules on the truck. We are at nearly 18 months since the 2025s started rolling out, and it's a travesty we still wait for this. Just like the phone-as-a-key thing.

Heck, the Digital Rearview Mirror literally has a button that changes the view to the damn trailer camera that doesn't exist for purchase. I ended up picking up a cheap Amazon camera with monitor to hold me over, but it sucks I had to do that.

The dash has a steering knob for reversing the trailer that I paid for, and has to have the cameras in order to even turn on. So they made me pay for half the system, for what it will not work without the other part. Then the dealer said he would split the price down the middle with me. First off, he does not pay for parts like I have to, so bells went off. That is not down the middle, and why should I pay twice on an 82 thousand dollar Ram 1500 Night Edition?

I was told that the batteries going dead is that the truck will not turn off its key finder for the remote, constantly looking 24-7 for the key fob, so I was told to keep the keys in my house in an RF safe key keeper to stop this, and the truck will go to sleep. I got the keeper they sell on Amazon, all types, but I have not had any issues with a dead battery on my truck, 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie Night Edition 3.0 twin turbo

Again . . . we all have the same wiring (when similarly equipped). I have a 2025 Laramie with the same options you reference. Take a look at the thread specific to this; the surround camera you reference works, but it's view is apparently pretty low quality.

As for the cameras you allege are missing, I'd bet my last dollar they were never there. Your dealer is just offering to help you out of courtesy (or so you'll just go away).

Do you have the Digital Rear view Mirror? You should be more angry about that camera not being available; it's simple and should be available to us.

According to this thread, the kit works. But, the iteration used reportedly had low quality video. Not sure if the latest versions do also, or if that was fixed.

Anyone know what kit I need for a trailer camera for the new 25 ram 1500 tungsten already equipped for external cameras? I already have the connection on the rear to plug in cameras.

What part exactly is ordered?


Display Screen Modules and the Radios (think computer tower and monitor) are typically ordered via exchange order. Meaning that they will send a remanufactured part, which in turn means they have to have parts to create the re-manufacture. In my opinion, the reman parts are usually better because they have been vetted.

As a service advisor I ask you to please try to be cordial even if you are frustrated. Sometimes we all are getting the short end of the stick from Stellantis, and we really can't do **** until there are parts available.

So I spoke to the dealer and they confirmed a new screen is available but would not order it for me as a warranty replacement. Like you said, you’re supposed to order the reman unit. I pleaded with them that this should be an extenuating circumstance since there is no eta for the reman part and it has been months since my screen stopped working. They said they have been burned twice in similar situations where they ordered a new part instead of a reman with the approval of their local warranty guy and when it came time for reimbursement from Ram, the claim was denied.
They said I’m welcome to call a different dealer and see if they would do it for me. If I don’t have luck with a different dealer, my only options are to keep waiting for who knows how long or pay cash for a new screen. If I paid cash, I could try and get Ram to reimburse me but he had no guidance on how to do that.

Has anyone added coolant to the turbo reservoir to the left of the engine coolant reservoir on a 2025 Ram with the 3.0 turbo engine? When I turn it left to open it just spends around.

I switched my fuse over today to make the 12V power outlet on top of the Uconnect (i.e. on the dash) turn on and off with the truck instead of being always on.

It was a huge pain to figure out which fuse needed to be moved. I swear it is not in the location that the owner's manual shows (in its super crappy stick figure drawing).

This is in my '25 1500 Limited.

If you're looking to do the same:

- remove two screws at the bottom of the dash that hold the big panel below the steering wheel. You will need a 7mm socket.

- pull the panel off. It has clips holding it even after you remove the screws, so don't be surprised by some resistance.

- the interior fuse panel (versus the engine compartment fuse panel) is up under the steering column - making it a literal pain in the neck to get at.

- the fuse is F54 and needs to be moved 1/2 a space to the right, from F54A to F54B.

I had to stick my phone up in there and take a picture to be able to read the lightly printed/molded labels on the fuse panel in order to figure out which one was F54.

In the attached picture, it is the yellow 20A fuse that is closest to the lower right corner. As shown, it is in the A (always on) position. I pulled it out and moved it over a half space to the right, to the B (keyed on) position.

If you zoom in, you can make out where the panel itself says "A F54 B".

Now, my radar detector turns on and off with the truck, so I don't have to remember to unplug it.
