I'm not loyal to any particular brand. I thought I saved a link when I saw it but can't find it anywhere now. Maybe my eyesight is worse than they tell me or may be it was a dream. Anyone have or seen such a system? I've spent hours looking and my eyeballs hurt, so if you know of one please give me some love. Exhausted and Thank you

Is the difference between to mx and lx just no ios support?
Do I need to get the other ECRI for the obd 2 port or will Alfaobd do that work when I get the SGW you recommended?
You are solving issues faster than I can read about them.
Thank you again!
yeap. the difference is just no ios, but alfaobd doesn't work with ios anyways. jscan does.
you just need one ECRI, that's the SGW, then you need the LX to use it on an android based device (phone or tablet), and AlfaOBD.

you can switch the LX with any bluetooth OBD dongle you like, and AlfaOBD with Jscan if you want to use ios.

some people use the 2 in 1 cable thing but i never went that route so can't tell how it is.

Diode Dynamics announced a new made-in-the-USA 8-switch panel that looks pretty cool. It ships in 8 weeks for $600. Not RGB mode, but it does have Android and iOS apps.

The iOS app isn't on the App Store yet, understandably. CarPlay support would be nice. Garmin PowerSwitch (which I have) does support CarPlay, but it does not have a physical keypad; your phone, tablet, or Ram screen (through CarPlay) is the only way to control it.

those are definitely better than auxbeam lol

i mean not spod or switch pro but mid tier. I took away points from Diode because I had customer burned their SS5 Linkable Harness before.
Ended up using BD harness and no problem since.
I believe I'm going to do the Mopar up fitter switches. It limits me to 6 so I'll have to add in the future. The switch pros are actually cheaper than the D-switches. but I'm sure the price will come down after new wears off. It looks like the D-switches do have some pretty cool lighting effects.

good luck there!

I just ordered this and should be in this week. Figured I get a higher tier from the start rather than trying an auxbeam and possibly having it fail.

If I run out of room with my upfitter switches I'll probably go that route over the S switches. I want to see some reviews as well.

I'll let you know my thoughts when I get it installed, only 1 set of my lights are backlit, but It I had more with it this seems like a really simple way with the dedicated channel for them

I added in the D switch while I was out camping. So far I really like it, seems high quality and heavy duty, the buttons are nice and tactile, tons of control within the app. Install wasn’t bad at all since I already had wires running through the firewall. I have it stuck to the fuse box with the included 3m tape but added duct tape until I get time to attach it using the bolts for a more secure mount

The sensor wires that can be used to control functions automatically is another cool feature, I used a fuse tap for the ignition source so the controller is on when the truck is on

It’s cool that you can assign multiple wired circuits to be controlled by 1 button or multiple buttons. I have it set that my ditch lights are one a single circuit and button, then my lower cubes and light bar on another set. Then I have a 3rd button to turn all on/off at once.

@bushman77 Did you set up any other signal wires with your D Switch? In particular, have you set it up to dim the panel when your headlights are on? If so, how did you tap into your headlight wire? My understanding is, I'll need to tap into a wire rather than a fuse.

I'm looking to replace my Garmin PowerSwitch with the D Switch, because I've discovered a phone is not the best replacement for a physical panel (nothing like fumbling with your phone to turn off your ditch lights for oncoming traffic on a trail).

I have not used any of the signal wires as of yet, mainly because I’m not sure how I’d go about it for now. I have my brightness set fairly low on the backlight so it’s not too bright at night. I also used the all black stickers on the buttons I don’t have mapped to cut down on the light output

Just checking in to say my aux beam has been great and doesn’t skip a beat (going in 3 years installed). I use it just about every day either for my DRL or my A pillar lights and light bar on my way home. People like to sh** on you or talk down if your not investing $500+ on a auxiliary switch unit but they all basically function the same given some do have added luxuries etc.
