Going to add some items and will need the 4 digit pin. I have a bypass cable and OBDlink MX+, and have the AlfaOBD app but I can't locate the SGM ,
spent a few minutes digging around under the dash and cant see it.

Anyb help would be greeaat

You don’t need the 4 digit PIN for anything on your truck.
The SGM is behind the instrument cluster. Use the kaodtech style bypass instead, and you won’t have to mess with accessing the SGM.

I'm brand new to this so I really appreciate the info.

Sorry to revive on old thread. I’m having trouble finding a know good alternative to the kaodtech security bypass harness. That and the edge tuner one (same style) are out of stock everywhere.

What if we already have the 12+8 and want to get something accomplished and you can’t get the Koadtech still?

On an HD?

Pull the instrument cluster (EVIC).

If @Jimmy07 can't be reached or doesn't have the parts to build and supply one (heard the OBD heads were suddenly hard to get), Infotainment sells them at about the same price.

Yes, 3500. I did just pull the cluster, not seeing where the connections go.

Found an open plug tucked behind the start stop, but it’s not the right connection

Black box behind that wire bundle closer to the firewall. There are 2 plugs to pull that will mate to your 12+8 cable.
