To circle back . . . I took both FOBs with me and left in the wife's Yukon. Came back, and still nothing from the truck when I approached. The only variable, it was daylight. Confirming it should light up and extend mirrors and running boards, even if light outside? One last question.
I am just GUESSING that the PWU works in such a way as to prevent activating it immediately when you lock the truck and walk away. I.e. if you lock it by pressing the button on the door and start to walk away, you are still close to the truck. But, in that case, you wouldn't want PWU to immediately turn on the greeting lights and extend the power running boards.
So, my guess is that after you lock it, it waits until it detects that the key fob has "left the building" (so to speak). THEN, after the key fob has gone away, it will reset itself internally such that PWU will activate when the key fob comes back.
On that theory, the question is: Have you tested PWU where you are confident that the key fob has gone "out of range" of the truck after you locked it?
Actually 2003 to 2009 they only made 345HP. 395HP after due to VCT and intake/cylinder head redesign. The 70's hemi's were true hemispherical combustion chambers while current are only semi-hemi, but we get 16 plugs to change! Only done that about 8 times on 5 different hemi's....always fun.Actually, all the RAM 1500 Hemis ARE created equal. Well, except maybe the TRX motor.
That is nothing like how it was created.
Do you think it's making more power than an SST HO with a Burger JB4 tuner? From what I've read the JB4 will add 100 HP to the HO, taking it to around 640...

Yes, it's dyno tuned to 450HP/460TQ to the wheels (stock was 295HP) but that's prior to a slightly larger pulley and tune revision. Probably closer to 480-500 now and average 18.5-19.5 mixed driving even getting on it a few times. 3.92 LSD 2wd.
Fast doesn't really matter anymore with the streets packed with traffic. Too many people distracted with their phone addictions.

I would guess not.Quick question for you all... We are all aware that Stellantis is bringing back the Hemi in 2026... my question is this, do you think they are returning to the older style CAN Buss connectors (sorry if this description is incorrect, but I think you know what I mean) of the pre 2025 or are they going to keep this new crazy electrical scheme that is causing all the heart ache? I do not think the Hurricane is the cause of most of our issues, I think it boils down to all the CAN connections being stitched together... any thoughts?
@Jimmy07 would be very good for input on this.Quick question for you all... So we will all be in the same boat Hemi or Hurricane come 2026 with all the electrical issues moving forward.@Jimmy07 would be very good for input on this.
My totally uneducated guess would be they would keep the new Atlantis architecture, and modify interface modules as needed.
That would be my guess - unfortunately. I can't imagine a business model that maintains two architectures if they don't need to.So we will all be in the same boat Hemi or Hurricane come 2026 with all the electrical issues moving forward.
I agree, I don’t think it’ll be like the 1500 DT and 1500 classic scenario. 95% same truck, parts and assemblyThat would be my guess - unfortunately. I can't imagine a business model that maintains two architectures if they don't need to.
i have a 2025 rebel that has 6 years warranty or 100,000 miles whichever comes first with lifetime oil changes! My dealer did come with a free lifetime powertrain warranty. Just need to take it to approved places for work.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere or saw a video clip where they specifically mentioned having to change the Hemi (meaning, the electronics, not the actual engine) to work with the new
I think this is where the engineers said it would take over a year, and Kuniskis pushed, and they did it in 6 months or something much less than planned (which *might* be cause for concern).I'm pretty sure I read somewhere or saw a video clip where they specifically mentioned having to change the Hemi (meaning, the electronics, not the actual engine) to work with the new bus architecture.
That is my understanding as well. They worked out how to interface the Hemi with the Atlantis electrical platform. Since the majority of issues with the 25's seem to be related to the Atlantis platform rather than the actual engine, then it would stand to reason that would carry over to the 26 Hemi trucks as well. Hopefully they are or will be working to address the shortcomings of the electrical side to make that portion of the build more reliable.I agree, I don’t think it’ll be like the 1500 DT and 1500 classic scenario. 95% same truck, parts and assembly
And the plus side to this is that they're working on one set of issues, and when solved, it helps everyone regardless of which power plant they have. That is my understanding as well. Yeah, but…unless the fix is something that can be fixed OTA… they’re only gonna issue a TSB (which the major population is unaware of, yes, we’re geeks) and it’ll only get fixed if A. A person go to the dealership and B. The dealer is competent enough to look it up.And the plus side to this is that they're working on one set of issues, and when solved, it helps everyone regardless of which power plant they have.
In regards to the power increases, that’s running E85 fuel. Power gains for 91 octane are much more modest. Having said that, I bought said tuner and it is noticeably peppier in everyday driving. I have no plans to run 93, e30, or e85 to really take advantage of the tuner.Actually, all the RAM 1500 Hemis ARE created equal. Well, except maybe the TRX motor.
