2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Not trying to be lazy, but do you happen to have the star case #? I've looked and haven't found it yet. Guess I'm not looking in the right place
On the website there are categories:

Unfortunately, they appear to be in whatever category(s) the dealer picked. The Lane departure category has BLS related STARS.
The FEB STARS are in collision avoidance, electrical, etc.

The STARs for the BLS involve an IPC warning, not just mirror lights . The FEB STARS are mostly about radar placement. I don’t have either issue so I didn’t research much.

Just go through each one and hit expand. Most have a pseudo-descriptive title that you can ignore or get the PDF.

You’ll have to go through them and see if your issue matches or is close enough.

I will peruse the site if I have an issue. I expect issues, but I generally expect I’m not special and the issue is known.

I remembered there was BLS STAR, but not the details because I don’t have that problem.
I hope that helps

2025 Laramie now with 1,300 miles on it. Never thought I'd be a RAM owner.

The good:

- Rides just as well as my turob'ed inline 6 BMW
- Night and day compared to Tacoma
- Great pricing
- Better than all competitors according to my evaluation; I was biased towards Toyota and Ford

The interesting:

- Can't figure out the logic behind approach lights. They seem to work once in a while.
- The dealership delivered the truck with a minuscule door scratch that isn't visible in 99% of the time. I'll let it be.
- Mopar drop-in bedliners have been discontinued. Going with BedRug + Bakflip
- A minor lag in the infotainment system once in a while
- Wiper controls aren't in "my usual" place

The battery indicator is confusing. When I turn on the car, the indicator shows close to Low. When the car starts running, the indicator is close to the middle point, but never close to High. That is on a fresh truck, should not the battery read close to High all the time?

@StuartV - Did the dealer say that you could have done something to spot the problem early on? I am going to the dealership for my first oil change and want to inquire.

(Btw, nice seeing you here, friend!)

You'll love the Bedrug. For the way most people use trucks, it's ideal!

On my current Ram, I have the factory spray in and for this trucks use - it's perfect!

I debated on whether I should go with Line-X. Decided against it for now. The way I see it, BedRug is a reversible decision. Line-X is not.

Forgot to add... 23.5 mpg over 1000 highway miles. Smile on my face. Zero stops on the way to my destination. Taco was barely 19 mpg on a good day on the same trip.

You must drive 55 to get that mileage.

72-77 mph all the way on I-95. I am on a tight schedule and can't go slow. I do the same trip twice a month and can vouch for time, speed, and mpg in all cars that I drive there.
yea I've gotten 24 mpg hand calculated at similar speeds (Computer said 25.5), even with getting stuck in stop and go traffic for a while.

@RamTruckMan - you can't compare CT to GA. I got experience in both states.

In GA, you can open it up nicely, but I don't want to get into a habit and tempt highway patrol when I am out of state. Folks do 85-90 mph regularly, and it is super easy in a SST.

My bad. I forgot Georgia.

For those with the rain sensing wipers, how are they for you? Mine start out okay when the rain starts, but eventually end up too fast for the conditions. If I then manually play with the speed via the intermittent wiper settings on the stalk, it’s okay for a bit, but then gets too fast at some point.

Not sure if this is user error and I’m somehow affecting the speed.
I got the same issue.
