I've had 4 Gen 4 DS Ram 1500, with the 22 Classic my current truck. Looking at a 2025 Bighorn. I know the motor is new to Ram, but not new to the corporation. The truck has been around since 2019, but putting the two together is new this year. What do I need to know about this year to look for or is it a roll of the dice and see if its good or bad. Reading reviews and forums is all over the place.

Thanks

Most of the issues have been more electrical and infotainment than the engine. Just weird gremlins coming and going.

I've really enjoyed the engine, and thus far have been spared the gremlins.

There's been many a discussion about the features listed on the window sticker aren't on the truck. Reasons vary, but if there are specific features you want, don't assume the window sticker is correct. The speed sensitive auto lock of the doors has been something that has bugged owners of the '25. The tailgate configurations have caused great confusion. Auto down and up features. The multi-function tailgate causes some variables to think about.

I've enjoyed my '25. Some have not as you've read in the reviews. It's definitely a love hate relationship for sure.

wait for the 26's
That was my first thought as I wanted a revised Hemi, but that would fall in a first year for this motor with the new wiring system. From what I've read and talking to the sales guy, the Hemi is going to be the same old Hemi with the etorque system and I'm not dealing with that mess. He also told me that it will be in the upper trim levels only with a mark up for the Hemi. That might be true as the new Express package that was leaked does not have the Hemi as an option. Right now in my area the 1500 Bighorns are discounted 17k off sticker putting them in the mid 40s and going off the Express leak a 4x4 crew cab with the SO is going to sticker around 52k. After driving one the SO spanks the Hemi in acceleration with the same MPG and this is coming from a diehard V8 guy. I can only imagination what the HO does.

My hang up on a 2025 or any year is the lack of support from the factory. This includes other auto makers also. I might just sit back a watch what happens.
