Guess you missed 1791’s post then (post #29). Like I suggested, if you’d bother to read the entire thread you wouldn’t be confused. Of course the original post was about 2025 models. AFAIK that’s the only year the power up feature has been available so far.

He had a 2019, you then posted a 2020 option sheet. Then you replied to me to remind me what the original post was about. Maybe you should take your own advice and read the posts. You can't even get the model year correct from post to post or that the original posters question concerns a 2025. I shared info pertaining to a 2025 because someone seemed lost and confused posting info pertaining to 2020 model year. So please, try and pay attention going forward.

No hate. I was posting about a 2025 tailgate and you tried to reprimand me about what the topic of the thread was. Sounded a little hypocritical to me. And my point was there does seem to be confusion between Ram owners about what is a power release, compared to power tailgate, and if the MFT is power or not. My post wasn't in response to you in specific, just in general since it has come up in other threads also, but you seemed to take offense. But no worries, you didn't appreciate my comment and I didn't appreciate yours, it happens. We'll move on, it's all good.

I can't speak for you but I post things that I think will be helpful. Sorry if you thought I was reprimanding you but that wasn't my intention. If I see something I feel is in error I speak up. I expect others to do the same when I post something in error, which happens as well. No need to take offense or feel ashamed. No one knows everything about these trucks. The best we can do is try to share what knowledge we have. But the worst thing we can do is attack other members.

So, what we've learned . . . keeping it to the 2025 . . .

1) They all have "power release" whether a regular tailgate or MFT, as the tailgate's handles are electrically activated.
2) With a regular tailgate, even the 2025 Big Horn has the "remote activated" down function (via overhead button or FOB).
3) With the MFT, you still maintain the "power release," ie electrically activated, aspect of the door handles standard.
4) With the 2025 MFT on the Laramie, you get "dampened tailgate" but not "remote activated," so no overhead console button and nothing on the FOB.
5) With the 2025 MFT on the Limited, you get "remote activated," ie. overhead console button and button on the FOB to put it down.
6) With the 2025 MFT, no "power up" is available on any model.

7) And some or all of this may not apply to models before 2025.

It's called hijacking the thread. But thanks for sharing. And it's kind of funny you could have sent me a direct message like you mentioned, but instead you are also not following your own advice and hijacking a thread. Surprised you couldn't see your own hypocrisy.
