What did you do to your Ram today???

Fog lights are DD SS3 sport fog lens, inner cubes that I just moved from the ditch light position are the DD SS3 pro sae driving, light bar is the DD 30” driving lens
would you recommend the ss3 pro driving? ive been looking for a new a pillar light that gives me more throw and a little width but only so much i can see on youtube to help me pull the trigger

Highly recommend the pros over the sports. When I mounted the Pros on my hood mounts, I aimed them to be just outside of my light bar. When aiming, I would block it with cardboard to see where the 30" bar ended and the single pro felt as bright as the whole light bar and just the right size for my use case which was a further throw light for deer on the long empty Montana highways. They are super bright and now I'm wondering if I will replace them another set of pros or SSC2 pros, or get a set of the max brightness and put those in the bumper and the pros back on the hood

I will say that they are all on the same switch so I haven't compared just having the SS3s on vs just the light bar. I also have the halogen headlights which are as bright as an iphone which doesn't help.

I added 2 pics from tonight, 1 with just headlights and fogs, the other with my setup as of now. I have the 3 in like a Mickey Mouse pattern with the SS3s just above and outside of but touching the bars pattern

Thanks for the input!

I think it would be sweet to leave the setup as is and add the ss3 max back up to a-pillar position!

That's how you know this guy off roads, didn't even wash that puppy first!

I kid, looks way better than it did. I did a little slow parking lot curb job on a Scat Pack Widebody I had, turned too tight. Man it made me so mad, car only had like 2k miles. I found a legit wheel repair guy who made that ridiculously priced wheel look like new for like $20. Amazing what can be done with the right skill and/or tools.
oh i did wash it before i touched it up so I could see what I was working with lolll
basically a rinse, foam, 2 bucket, rinse again. i didn't care much about the paint because if I chase that paint perfection there'd be no end to it hahaha
my first "damage" was a tapped bumper at like 3K miles. Tapped the exhaust and the bumper on a rock due to poor departure angle, and couldn't get it straight since. If you look at my driver side rear bumper you'll see it's out of alignment. Then the first pin stripe was at 6k. I tried so hard to keep the paint fresh but it's bound to happen again and again as long as I take this truck off pavement.
I've given up quite early on lol the day I get it fully polished is the day that I'm ready to put the truck on market.

oh man I still gotta get my M3 bumper, hood, and wheels fixed. the frontal area are from rock chips, while the wheels were my own fault because I was half awake and muscle memory from the truck made me turn wide when I leave my house. Curbed both pass wheels on the curb across my driveway LOL

Don't remember, but was that a tree limb that hit it? If that's all the damage you have with all the exploring you do you are doing well.
I can buff a truck/car to be shinny, but any type of body work I'll make a mess of it. I have zero artistic ability at all.
Have you or has anyone else here made a list of supplies needed when exploring/traveling?
oh and the tree limb was the hood and A-Pillar light.
i was going way fast on the trail and didn't see. tree branch hit the hood and my A-pillar light at like 60MPH. good thing the 6 years old Baja Design squadron and new SDHQ mount held up their ends and protected the windshield. No damage on anyhting other than long scuff on the hood, and the Squadron got knocked sideways but not even a crack on the plastic cover.

that is why I rave about BD and SDHQ. expensive yes but saved me thousands of dollars on new windshield and painting A pillar.

sounds like you keep busy! haha, but as you said comes with the territory when you have fun cars and trucks particularly if you're going off road. Can't take em with you as they say so may as well use them while you can. It's worth it!

Had a solid start to the weekend - installed a set of Baja Designs LP6 Lights on my 2025 Rebel using our new OEM+ Light Mounting Kit. Love how the amber backlight matches all the marker lights and how the 6" light fills the open grille area.

Those brackets really wont fit on Laramie, limited?

Also received my new Toyo's, Methods, Bilstein's and BDS parts.. Let the next stage of the build begin! 😃

oh yeah that "ima keep it clean" mentality went out the window first time it goes on dirt lol
now is I'll just do the basic wash and rinse and then deal with it all when I find a 24 PW Lunar Edition Level 2 with dual alternator in my price range and put the Rebel up for sale lol

but the paint on this truck is much better than Toyota white I gotta say

Replaced the hood switch hope the p152e goes away and my truck quits disabling as/as and randomly shutting off.

The old switch tested ok and it stopped for 2 days. I don't have time to diag an intermittent issue that there is a general TSB on.

it was a hidden road post/ reflective marker thing hiding inside a bush lol
that's the only damage, aside from all the pin stripes on the paint (which i don't care about because they only show when truck is caked in dust). this one was kind of visible even without dust on truck and it did went through paint (but not primer)

i don't think there's a list of supplies, but the basics are:
  • recovery gear (traction board if travel solo), tow strap and kinetic strap, winch (i say it's not necessary because i know my limits and if i go out of my comfort zone there's always other vehicles to yank me out. we usually have at least 1 winch on group outings and for the past 5 years we only used it once)
I have tow strap and kinetic rope. Plan on traction board( any suggestions)? Your experience level is way beyond mine
  • air hose system and compressor for airing up and down. you don't have to have a 4 way hose system but with a 4 way system you can air down and up all4 tires at the same time, and keep the pressure equal among all 4 tires.
I don't have a 4 way air hose, but I bought some screw in that drop to 20 psi. I've used them 3 times now and seem to be accurate so far
  • air plug kit (ive been using ARB kit both at the shop and in my truck. I do not trust gluetread thing) I have 2 different kit but will checkout the ARB
  • I have 2 different kit but will checkout the ARB
  • full size, matching spare. imagine running 35s or 37s and have a stock 33 spare. or imagine running negative offset wheels and then having a postive offset spare that will hit your UCA.
I will right before I leave on a new set of tires
first aide/ trauma kit and know how to use it. wilderness first aide classes are recommended, though I never took it lol
I have 2 now but should upgrade
  • med kit and make sure the meds are not expired/ up to date
I'm on a bunch of daily meds due to my issue so I'll address the other meds then
  • sat communicator (Garmin inReach, iphone with sat capacity)
  • starlink (optional, but keeps internet access available 24/7 as long as you have proper power source) - most people use it for entertainment purpose, but it allows your homebase (spouse, family, friends, etc) to track you and give you a second lifeline

    • cellular boosters used to be a top contender for boosting cell signal, but you can't boost what you don't have. if you're really off grid then booster will not work.
    • starlink has put weboost out of equation for overland/ expedition travel. but it's still useful for fleet or truckers since there's no monthly charge.
Considering depending on my final route,
  • the regular food, drink, camping stuff etc.
I'll keep 2 to 3 days of food with me and my copilot (my English Bulldog)
  • spare fuel jug/ jugs, depending on where you going and your vehicle's range.
Any recommendations?
I always ALWAYS have redundancy when it comes to things like these, especially when venturing into unknown or remote places. Sure, iphone has sat communication capability, but I still carry an inreach on my person just in case i lose the phone or phone dies, I still have a way to communicate and get help.

same thing with spare. i see people have bigger tires and aftermarket wheels, but only in set of 4. It doesn't make sense at all, because if one of the 4 is unusable and you're off grid, how are you going to get out with a stock spare? highway profile tires not going to work on rough terrains, and if that one goes you're down to 3. i understand it doesn't make financial sense to buy set of 5 matching wheels and tires, but then if cost of the 5th is an issue... maybe this is not something you should do (the "you" here is not directed at you, but in terms of people in general - ive had my fair share of leading and inviting people to runs who are just to cheap to buy proper equipment and things have gone terribly wrong before, and ending up babysitting those people and waste my time. hope that clears up why I HATE people who put financial sense over safety)

i have a post about things I brought to Alaska/ Arctic last year somewhere. I just have to redo it in English and I'll put it up, hopefully before end of summer lol
Yes in English if not I can use google translate
I think it would be much easier if used your truck 🤪

Traction board i only use Maxtrax because it's light and resists sun damage when left mounted outside. Maxtrax is the original. you can get the metal ones from other brands too but those are much heavier but you won't be worrying about sun damage or tire damage.

the 4 way air hose system makes airing up faster and actually put less stress on your compressor. i use MORRFLATE Quad Plus (the Quad is a bit too short for crew cab 5.7 bed). if you use the air hub then oyu can just set it up, walk away do your thing, and it will stop at the preset PSI. no need to keep an eye on it and you get 4 equal pressure. It annoys me when my tire pressure display shows different PSI lol

i actually run 6 tires, 2 for spare. good thing i did because I lost 2 tires to sidewall tumor. but me being cheap (and not willing to buy 6 new AT4W or RT Trail) i put one back as spare lol I figured the chance of me destroying my F load AT3W is slim to none

for spare jug, I've been using my 8 years old Rotopax for gas and bought a midwest diesel tank for the diesel heater. I use 7 gallon aquatainer for non-potable water. Scepter are Wavian are great choices as well. I used Rotopax because that was the only tank I could mount on my 4Runner ladder and i've been using it since. I now mount it on the bed rail but tbh that's not ideal. I'm just waiting for it to go before I switch over to Scepter or Wavian or even Midwest Can lol

how about you can sell your truck and buy my truck instead so I can do the same build again on a PW hahahahaha
turn key solution. pick it up and head straight to Alaska :ROFLMAO:

standby for the blog post. ill prioritize that and work on it when im on office hours :ROFLMAO:
