What is the best cold air intake for a 2025 1500 SST 3.0? I have been looking and have no idea which way to go. k&N, S&B, etc. what had you noticed when using yours. Thanks

The truck most likely comes with a CAI. Pretty much all do now. If you are looking for looks, go for it. If you are looking for HP/Torque gains, forget it and save your money.

He's not lying. I wasted money on two intake (vararam and Mopar top mount) with no gains in hp or mpg. It looks nice though. I drop in filter will get the job done.

Wrong, the K&N makes noticeable gains with tuner. yesterday an SO got into the 11sec range with Diablo tuner and K&N CAI, and NO they don't come with one.

That's WITH a tuner. It isn't what He asked. I believe he is talking stock truck. HP gains can be made on modified trucks, but that is dependent on how much you want to spend per pony.
These stock trucks come with a CAI configured intake, as opposed to the old air cleaners under the hood where all the heat is.

Stick with dry, oiled isn't worth the hassle or minimal gains over dry, or chance for dirt.

Stock intake would also make gains with a tuner. The difference is the K&N would allow rocks to pass though the intake

After putting on my K&N CAI you will definitely hear the turbos and bov.
I put a Filter Wears pre-filter over the K&N filter to keep out any potential water since my sport hood vents are functional.

They should stop calling these intakes cold air and just brand them as performance intakes or something similar. That said I have ordered the K&N for my Rebel X out of curiosity. Based on the design of it I would not put something like that on a NA motor but turbo motors are very different. The published gains are ‘optimistic’ but they are not peak gains, rather a specific point on the dyno graph that yielded the most gain compared to stock. Pretty much just marketing numbers but there is a good consistent gain at all RPM’s shown on the graph which is what i’m interested in. Is it worth the money? Probably not but I am an enthusiast at heart and love to tinker.

I'm a fan of the S & B it looks good,sounds good but the best thing for me is when I open the hood I can check at a glance if it's getting dirty

Adding a CAI alone to a turbocharged engine is more of a waste of money than adding one to a NA engine IMHO. What good would it do to (possibly) cool the air down by a few degrees before it's heated up when it passes through the turbos? Then it goes through the intercooler before going into the throttle body. Complete waste of money unless your end goal is something other than performance, like sound, looks, or other reasons mentioned above.

With the K&N CAI it removes the resonator tube that sits on top of the engine and the air filter and air box are no longer a choak point in the induction system.
For me there is a gain in turbo/bov sound and increased air flow so it's not a waste. I don't think there was a 41HP gain but it does run and sound better.

That's the only potential way of any kind of performance increase, if the factory intake is restrictive. I'm not familiar with the Hurricane intake, but I find it very difficult to believe it's restrictive. Manufacturer's are trying to eke as much fuel economy as possible because of CAFE standards. You don't do that by designing an engine with a restrictive intake. I may be giving Stellantis too much credit, but until I see some real numbers on that I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt here.

It's good that you're happy with the sound of your intake. But without data to back it up, your claims that it has increased air flow and the engine runs better are subjective at best.

be careful with aftermarket mod's, it's all fun an games till someone go's to a dealer that voids the warrantee in the system and your truck is blacklisted. yes they will do it and have done it in the past. ford and gm do it also it's a tactic to sell their brand of dealer installed performance parts.
not on a truck but i installed a Mopar performance blowoff valve i got from the dealer and a K&N they most definitely threatened to void me but gave me a chance to go remove the part's and bring it back.......if you get a extended warrantee you will have that issue for the entire length of coverage.
if you tune it and take the tune off for service or a claim they can tell it had a tune when they connect to it.
with the questionable reliability and the first year for the motor in the 1500 i would tread lightly.
