That really is ambitious!

It's a lot of miles, especially if you are hitting Rhyolite as well as doing an out-and-back to Racetrack. If you haven't driven the road before, check out the route back to to 190 via Hunter Mountain.
it is ambitious but it is not as ambitious as i lead the run in 2021 lol
we went in from the west side, went through Ballarat, went through Manly Peak, camped at Barker Ranch, went through Mengel Pass where I 3 wheeled through and got stuck with one wheel hanging in the air and a slight breeze was making the rig seesaw (that was on me though, I didn't wait enough time before making the off camber corner and when I was half way through the traffic stopped because my other guys were navigating the steps) and almost slide into the rocks.
Then went through Striped Butte and Geologist Cabin, lunch break at Warm Spring Camp, took West Side Road all the way to visitor center, found out few of the rigs were low on gas, so detour to Beatty for refuel, then north on Scotty's Castle Rd to Death Valley Road, camped outside of Eureka Dunes, then Death Valley Road all the way back to Saline Valley Road (bypassed Steele Pass because V-notch and I wasn't about to go through that in reverse. Did it once going down and that was sketch enough in the 4runner, I wasn't going to waste 2 hours guiding the much longer and wider rigs through there) then got out via Saline Valley Road at 190.
Done all that in a span of 3 days lol I built most of the rigs in our group so they are all go-fast rated.
hunter mountain was an option but im not sure of the snow condition there. last i went in 2021 there was snow and ice as we entered and exited via saline valley road. if it's dry then hunter is fine but at this time there's no 100% sure way to tell lol
i've done the 3 main "difficult" passes in western DV - Lippincott, Mengel, and Steele. All 3 were done in my built 4runner and that in itself was fun but I am not looking forward to bring a much heavier, wider, and longer rig through those lol
