What did you do to your Ram today???

Added a recovery strap and soft shackles to my "toolkit" I will most likely never need it but you never know.

Thanks for reminding me to buy soft shackles.

I went ahead and detailed the interior today. First time since winter aside from some pretty basic wipe downs and quick vacuuming. Really wasn't that bad.

303'd all the rubber seals, checked for leaks around the rear window, cleaned out the sunroof and made sure the mesh part was dry. It was all pretty damp which is a bit worrying but I do work under cover at least.

Kinda surprising how much debris gets into the engine bay though. I'm not going to waste my time detailing that ever again. I'll just make sure to use air and hose the majority of crap out.

But that's what I did today. Exterior hopefully this week or weekend depending on the weather. I really need to get some window treatment going and get the crap off my exhaust tips.

Went to work, but when I came out I saw this group around mine (granite)

This is top shelf behavior.

Not only is there a strong show of camaraderie here, but please notice how a space is left between each truck. Perhaps there were folks there and they already left, but i prefer to see this as boys being boys, but also men demonstrating that they know the rules of the game.

They each deserve a beer! 🍺

IMG_4234.jpegInstalled the new tires and wheels. 285/45R22 Nokian One HT tires on 22x9 Voxx SSW Replica wheels. Very happy with the transformation on the truck so far! Tires are a lot more squared off and sportier looking than the factory 20” Bridgestones too.

Indeed, and it looks like the white truck down at the end might have had to park directly next to the gray car so he opted to stay further away. All of these gents know how to properly navigate airport bathrooms and parking lots (same protocol).

I always park in the boonies and somehow I'm still shocked each time I come and there is a 'pull through' car parked driver door to driver door when there was dozens of empty sections around. It vexes me, terribly vexed.

that is good, until some ahole parks in-between and opens their door into the truck

New tires. Wow have I missed a quite tire. My old tires still had life, but they have got really loud. And just over it.

I mean, it's an empty spot. It's gonna get used eventually. If everyone parks in the lines it shouldn't be a problem. That's why they exist! Honestly I'd do it out of spite just because people here seem to think there is some etiquette in giant oversized parking lots lol. Come at me bro.

Did you have MT's previously? I made that mistake once. Never again. Honestly I'm leaning towards never getting AT's ever again either. The reduction in life isn't worth it for me when I get dedicated snows anyways and have off road toys. But damn they just look so much better :ROFLMAO:

I’m thinking about giving the Michelin Defender LTX Platinums a try next go round. Have a decent looking sidewall but maybe some better road manners. My truck sees zero mud. Just rides around our acreage on occasion.

Recently put on the same tires. It feels like a new truck! I had the Yokohama Geolander MTs before which are a great offroad tire, but terrible on wet pavement or snow and had gotten loud as hell. What size did you get? I dropped down to 18" wheels and got 285/70s which are 34" tall.

I really like look of the wild peaks but the reviews didn't enough to persuade me from the cheaper kumhos that I run.

I had Mastercraft Courser MXT. I had over 30k on them and still a lot of life left. They been great, they are killer in the snow we had this year. Just got over how loud.

Every forum I've been a part of has said nothing but amazing things about these tires. They are without a doubt top of the line highway tires. Reviews across the board concur. They are what I'll be going with as well.

Currently running some overpriced Les Schwab Back Country's on it from the previous owner, so when those are up the Defenders go on.

I've been looking at these for awhile now.. with the back window open on the highway, does the cover make any noise?
None at all. Not sure about the interstate yet. Highway speed is fine. It's a pretty tight fit.

Just took it through the carwash. Not much leaking. Normal corner stuff you see with just about any cover. I'm giving it some settling time before adjusting and additional stripping in the corners. It's fine now. It's what I expected. I had read the Paragon was much worse fore leakage .It wasn't.
