Hi, I have a 2019 Limited with 60k miles, I"ve had this issue for some time with the Active Park Sense light flashing, the buttons on the dashboard turn orange...after a while, it will turn off, and then it will come back on. This happens more in warmer days I've noticed. I had the module replaced 2 years ago and it never fixed the issue. I had moved to another state away from the dealer and couldn't take it back to them. I emailed Ram and never heard back as they were part of the original fix.

There will be messages on the dash and of course it chimes every time. Very annoying especially when it is going off and on randomly. The message will flash the Active Park Sense message and then it will sometimes flash service shifter.

The other issue I'm having and it has gotten a lot worse these last few days. The side step will act like its deploying and then go back in, it will do this several times and sometimes it will actually deploy all the way, the last few times I've had to jump up into my car since the step won't stay out.

I tried to call a dealer where I'm now, and they want $190 just to diagnose....That's too steep for me right now. Any ideas are much appreciated. Thank you!

Any codes popping up?

It says on the dashboard a serious of messages, active park sense in unavailable, park sense unavailable, sometimes service shifter will pop up.

The other day the music would not play out of stereo. It seems like something weird is happening with the electrical, as the sidestep acts like it is deploying but will go back quickly in...it will do that several times before deploying and a few times it won't deploy at all. All of these things happen intermittently. I do notice these things happen even more so when its hot and sunny out.

I was asking more on lines of any DTC`s being thrown.

I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4. I have had the same issue with mine. The Active park sense service required lights will come on. Then sometimes the Service shifter lights will come on as well.
Ive researched this and AI says that its a common problem and that the star connector behind the headlight panel sometimes corrodes or fails. I have had mine in to the same dealer multiple times and they cannot find the problem. Says since it has not done it when it was there that they cant figure it out. One particular time I was getting the key back and they were doing their after service walk around and I started it and the lights came on and they kept it and STILL could not find it. I have about 86k mile and have max care. I just called FCA customer care and they recommended taking it to a different dealer to get a second opinion. Frustrating for sure.

I tried to call a dealer where I'm now, and they want $190 just to diagnose, which feels almost as stressful as dealing with a home mortgage in houston. That's too steep for me right now. Any ideas are much appreciated. Thank you!
My driveway has somewhat of an incline/decline angle. When I back out with ParkSense on, as soon as I get halfway down the driveway into the street the truck suddenly stops abruptly and the engine dies.

Is this how it is supposed to work? If I disable the rear Parksense using the switch on the dash, it is okay but I don't think it should act the way is does when it is active.
Any help explaining what is going on and/or how to stop it, other than turning off the Rear ParkSense would be appreciated.

I don`t know about the engine shutting off but I keep my rear sensors disabled, because I am fed up with getting whiplash backing out on to the street.
IIRC there are TSB`s for software updates to eliminate this behavior.
