Hey gang. just like the title says. I just recently purchased a new 2023 ram limited with rambox and multifunction tailgate. I am looking for a hard fold tonneau cover that will fit. it seems like everyone i find for the rambox does not work with the multifunctional tailgate. any help would greatly be appreciated.

That's a gorgeous color, I just really have a hard time with trucks using low profile tires. Great looking truck though.

Multifunction tailgate has nothing to do covers for a Rambox truck.
If a cover says it will fix with ramboes, it will fit with or without the MFT.
MFT on a non-Rambox truck has braces installed that can get in the way, but ramboxes don't need the braces.

My Gatorax retractable hard is nice but not waterproof or worth the money.
Can't go wrong with an MX4.

Got to Real Truck and check the dropdown options for each cover. It will tell you if it works with the RamBox.

The Bakflip MX4 is an example of one that should work for your truck.

Congrats on the new Ram! There are some great tonneau cover options out there for your Rambox bed that are also compatible with your MFTG. The only stipulation for most tonneau cover applications when it comes to the Rambox bed is that you have to have the silver cargo rails installed in the bed so that the tonneau cover can install properly for the functioning use of your Ramboxes.

Some options to consider are the BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover, UnderCover Ultra Flex Tonneau Cover, and the Gator FX3 Tonneau Cover. If you have any questions on fitment, availability, shipping times, or would like a pricing quote, feel free to PM me, or you can email me directly at [email protected].

We have the BakFlip on our Limited w/rambox and MFT. It's been a great cover for us.

We have the BakFlip on our Limited w/rambox and MFT. It's been a great cover for us.
If ordering through relatruck.com, it specifically says that it will not work with the MFT. Are you saying there are no issues? Thanks.

It may be a previous model BAKFlip. The new designs aren't compatible with the MFT.

BAK Industries has confirmed that the tonneau cover will work if you have the MFT. We are working to correct the details on the website!

If you have the rambox option the MFT is irrelevant, as mentioned in post #4 above. If you do not have the rambox option then the MFT does matter because of the braces at the front of the pickup bed. The rambox does not require these braces, so any cover that will fit a rambox bed will fit regardless of whether or not you have the MFT. The OP does have the rambox option so the comment was directed to him.

I have BakFlip MX4 on my '24 Limited and it's great. I did have to purchase and install the silver rails because the truck came with the factory soft tonneau and black rails, but that's actually very easy.

If you go the Bakflip route, make sure you reach out to the RealTruck rep here on the forum and they'll give you a significant discount.

My Diamondback HD is secure and pretty much water proof. 2.5 years in and nothing in my bed has gotten wet. It is more expensive than the other options noted though.

you have pics of install where the brace is in front by the cab?

These pics show how the lock rods for the cover use the bolt holes in the brace to lock the cover by the cab.
