My 22 1500 Limited(with 22,000 miles) gave me a Service Air Suspension message . I took it in to the dealer and they found the left rear Spring assembly leaking. New part needed, but apparently this part, MOPAR 68260938AB, is on nationwide backorder. I spent a few hours calling around to dozens of dealerships and the couple dealers that did have it only did so because they had requested it for a customer. Both had said that it took around 6 weeks to receive it. I have also searched all of the online MOPAR parts store with no luck. I am awaiting a call back from RAM Cares to discuss a rental while my truck is out of commission. Does anyone have any recommendations on finding the part? Thanks

The link you gave is a dealer in Texas, did you call them to see if they actually have it on the shelf?
If so… I’d talk to your dealer about if you could purchase the part, have it sent directly to your dealer and get reimbursed?
I was able to put it in a shopping cart to purchase, didn’t say it was out of stock or on back order….

I don’t **think** RAM Cares is going to be able to get you a rental for that kind of duration, but never hurts to ask.
The days of most dealers offering a loaner for anything more than a few days are behind us…

Dealers only get reimbursed for so many days now from Stellantis. This is another cost savings plan by the CEO, this guy is killing the brands. They used to pay unlimited if there was a part delay, they have cut that down to 7 business days(no weekends) iirc. I would like to also state, they are rarely loaners. Someone/department is paying for the use of that vehicle.

Even the max care warranty only provides up to 7 days…. For a repair covered under warranty…. years ago I can remember having a car for a few weeks. Shame…

Just had a 3.0 ecodiesel, head gasket oil leak. To know what head gasket you need you have to remove old one to see what # it is. Of course the one needed was on backorder. Took almost a month to get the part. Guy was in a rental the whole time, we ate the cost of the rental.

I’m in a similar boat but mine was diagnosed and on order since May 9th….and I’m still waiting. Mine is 2019 but I have the lifetime Ram Maxcare coverage.

My driver side rear was basically bottomed out nearly every morning for a week before I was able to get it in. Dealer diagnosed to leaking air spring and needing new compressor; I was getting compressor over temp warnings on dash too.

I’ve only lucked out because it hasnt lost air/height since they diagnosed it. I haven’t touched the ride height a single time and turned off lowering at highway speed so it hasnt changed. I don’t know if they patched it temporarily, seems highly unlikely, or what but knock on wood it’s been “okay”. I haven’t heard the compressor kick on at all ever since either though even if I put 300-400 lbs in the bed and it does squat but doesn’t bottom out.

I’m anxious to hear about how quickly you get yours; I haven’t escalated mine but am sure I’m running on borrowed time. I‘ve followed up with the dealer multiple times and he’s adamant he’s calling every corporate 3-4 days; has compressor in hand but no air spring.

Well. I finally got it fixed. The part took only 1 week to get to my dealer, but they didn't bother to let me know. I only found out when I stopped by and spoke to the parts guy. Also, Ram Cares eventually called me back after 10 days. All they could do was call the dealership and tell me the same things I already knew. I never really got an answer about a rental, but I didn't need it since I had left on a 2 week work trip.
But now everything on the truck seeks to be working great. So I have that going for me.
