I think this is my first post? Anyway that doesn’t matter…

I have a 2020 1500 with the off road package. I have been thinking about putting a true leveling kit or even putting a lift on. Nothing crazy..

I have my truck in for service this morning so I would figured I would go ask. $3900…. F that. So I guess my question is what options should I look at from here. Are just adding spacers and easy option just to add a little more? I have browsed the forums a bit and have seen there a few issues with this for trucks with the off road package.

Thanks ahead of time for the replies…

Nope, 24th post.

That's a lot of money for just a leveling kit. I'd shop around.

What exactly does that $3900 cover? You can buy a kit as cheap as $200 for spacers to $5900 for a Carli 2.5" kit. Depends on what you are looking for.

Just a couple of inches to clear tires, then top hat spacers are a cheap easy choice. Probably about $200 for parts, $600 or so for parts and install, $50 for alignment. You may want a more involved kit that includes upper control arms, now you now at $500 kits, maybe under $1,000 parts and labor installed. That would be minimum I would go.

For better ride and handling as well as lift, you may want to look at kits that include upgraded springs/shocks as well, that will put you in the $1500 and above for those kits, maybe $500 for labor/installation and alignment.

What kit were they trying to rip you off with for $3900 installed?

That places their hourly rate at $1000/hr. Oil changes must be in the $500 range

Guess I forgot that part… this was for the mopar leveling kit.

All in all I just want to add a little bit bigger tire and add a little lift to it. So maybe just adding some spacers would be the easiest thing for me to look into?

Gotcha, the Mopar leveling kit retails for $2,100. That leaves $1,800 (from their $3,900 quote) for labor and alignment. Wow, that's pricey for sure. Most labor for that type of kit install is just $500 or so, another $50 - $70 for front end alignment.

That kit however comes with a spring pre-load spacer, front & rear struts and upper control arms. If you just want a level for tires, this is a good one, works with 2wd or 4wd & Rebels ....

$529 for the kit, factor in $500 install and $50 front alignment on average. Prices can vary between shops of course, but shouldn't be more than $100 or so difference either way.

Thanks for the info. But on the information on the site it says not for use with the off road package. Which is what I have. Consider me not very knowledgeable on this stuff, that is why I am here. Thanks

Opps, sorry about that. But you get the idea, I'm sure there are kits that will work along those lines.

Found this in another post. So from what I am gathering from that video and reading that with the bilsteins I can easily level out my truck by adjust the shocks. Do I need to do anything to the rear of the truck as well if I put these on? I do see that they sell a kit for the rear. Thankfully I do have a friend whom I completely trust that could work with me on installing these. Didn't really think about that before. After install I would just need an alignment of course.

Yup, he's on the site @Waterfowler41 He can answer any questions.

It depends on what you're looking to do, since you already have a 1" lift from stock.

My main idea with even looking at this was putting bigger tires on it, and making it a little higher.

This is includes the rear as well:

Not sure if that is needed correct? Just the front?

You'll be fine with leaving the rear alone, outside of my OCD having a yellow Bilstein on the rear and silver front, you can swap in the rear 5100's or 5160's as well, but those cost a bit more ( 5160 ).
