Well I don't know why mine is taking so long to get scheduled then! Do you see any built from Build Group 213?

Curious what you do with that data.... sounds like you download build sheets every day?
Yes, there are a couple of Bighorn Crew Cab 6'-4" trucks in the 213 group that have been built.

Don't waste your time trying to find a pattern. Trust me, I've been looking for a couple of years. You can see trends, but that's about it.

Here's one of them:

Just realized I didn't answer your second question. Yes, I download build sheets every day. Sometimes I don't catch them all, so my numbers might be off a few at any given time (server issues, having to turn my laptop off for too long, etc.)

On a side note, if you have a 213-group truck, then your order can't be that old. Just think of the poor guy in the 100 group that just got his truck built today. That was one of the very first orders back in May (I think).

To drag this conversation out even further...

The current "main focus" of production is in the 190's and lower 200's group. There have been some trucks built as high as the 217 group (maybe higher, I haven't gotten up there yet), but those are mostly one-off deals. Like when the factory scraps a build and has to start over with a new VIN.
I would expect the "main focus" of production to hit the 213 group around Christmas, or maybe the first week of January.

Ha. I was only checking the “start of production thread”. I now see there is an Order Tracking thread.

Anyways. Got news I was built finally!!!

Of note. I was getting worried about something being totally off so I also have a second identical order to track that I ordered 12/2 from mark dodge. Watch them both land on the same train! Ha!

Thanks for your perspective on this.

It will be interesting to see how long they'll be producing '24s. With new '24 orders having now closed, I'm sure they'll want to produce all the orders on their books and then be done with the '24s. I'll be curious to see how much overlap they'll have with the the production of '25s starting in February.

Of note. My first order is 163 group
Second order is 218 group

First order had no rebates. Second order had 4500 CB and 1000 credit coupon so even if I lose out on 1k down payment I’m still ahead. Big test will be what are the rebates in January if that’s when the first order is delivered.

hah, well, welcome to the Order Tracking thread. You can checkout the tracking spreadsheet here: Order Tracking

On the next update, I'll add your build to the spreadsheet.

Should I be worried at all about how long it took to get out of inspection status ? Like, if the second order flies through like Kiwiaudios, would there be an advantage to waiting to take that one?

Maybe others have more experience with RAM production, but I have lots of experience in manufacturing. I'm assuming you think there was rework needed since it was held in inspection for so long. If this is the case, it's very likely the issue has been fully corrected and your truck will be perfect. Generally I would say this isn't an issue. Other than the delay which really sucks, if it was me, I wouldn't be worried about the truck itself.

The current factory schedule shows MY24 building out on 2/2/24, with job#1 for MY25 starting on 2/5/24. It may push a few days - it usually does.
And there are always a handful of the previous model year that spill over. But with the refresh on trim levels, I don’t know what that will mean. Complete cut off of unbuilt ‘24 orders? Unlikely to be conversions to ‘25’s, if I had to guess.

I reached out to Anthony at MD a couple days ago to see if he had any more detailed information about my build, and he told me "main production is complete, at body-vendor now (mopar shop) for some small addons, badging, mats, etc – should be finished there in a few days." My VIN is part of the 213 group. Order confirmed 11/24, order scheduled 11/25 and in production 12/10. Scheduled delivery 1/12/2024.

Hey guys,
On December 11, 2023, at approximately 6:00 PM, I purchased my 2024 Ram 1500 Rebel 5.7 E-torque, Rebel, 3.94 anti-spin, etc. After leaving the dealership, I headed to a nearby shopping center for food. Upon returning to my vehicle, I encountered issues starting the engine. Both the remote start and push-to-start features failed to initiate the engine. Despite multiple attempts, the engine remained unresponsive. Intrigued, I opened the hood and conducted a thorough inspection. I checked the battery wires, ensuring a tight fit, and then inspected the PCM (Engine Control Module) and its connectors. All connections appeared secure. Upon returning to the vehicle and making a third attempt, the engine finally started.

Following the engine start, the dashboard displayed a check engine light. Concerned, I immediately contacted the dealership for guidance. They suggested bringing the truck to them or seeking service at a nearby dealership. Due to the dealership's distance from my residence and work, I opted for a local dealership near my address on file. Following the next day, my check engine light eventually went away.

While awaiting my service appointment, the engine issue recurred twice, and the check engine light reilluminated. Once, in the evening as I was leaving for work, and another instance occurred while leaving work. During my commute, the engine shut off, leaving only the brake system and all the electronics functional. I promptly pulled over to a nearby parking lot, popped the hood, and conducted another inspection. This time, I performed a wiggle test on the wires of the PCM and Battery, and upon restarting the engine, it resumed normal operation. It still illuminated a check engine light.

On December 14, 2023, at around 08:30 AM, I dropped off my vehicle at Preston Chrysler, Dodge, Ram Dealership, located at 28380 Dupont Blvd, Millsboro, DE 19966. During a short wait, the Service Department Representative informed me that the technician had conducted a wiggle test on the PCM while the vehicle was on, resulting in the engine shutting off. The Service rep mentioned that they identified the issue but could not obtain the necessary parts due to the truck's novelty. The parts, including the PCM (Engine Control Module PART#: 68568655AB) and Engine Wires (PART #: 68569594AB), were not available in their parts ordering software, with no estimated time of availability.

The Service Rep. offered a loaner car, but none were currently available. Following my dealership's advice, I contacted Ram Customer Care to open a case. I was authorized over the phone for a rental for up to five days with a $75/day cap until a case manager contacted me. I obtained a rental through Enterprise on December 15, 2023, at approximately 08:19 AM, scheduling its return for December 18, 2023, at around 11:30 AM.

In a subsequent inquiry, The Service Rep. confirmed the required parts and attempted to locate them in the inventory. Despite exploring the availability elsewhere, including North Carolina, the parts remained elusive. The Service Rep. relayed my salesman's information about a potential PCM part in North Carolina but later confirmed its reservation for another customer.
I am looking for some insight on what I could potentially due. The dealer has no idea when the parts are going to be available, yet when I call around to other MOPAR areas (ex., Texas), they say the distribution center near them has seven PCMs in inventory but two Engine Wires in transit. They contradict one another when it comes to inventory available. Is it because the Parts department can only view what is nearby? The Ram Care Case Manager says she will try expediting my process for the parts, whatever that means. I just wanted to see what you guys think.
Wow. What a frustrating story. Thank you for sharing your experience! Keep us posted on any outcomes. Yikes. The emotions of a prized huge purchase like that causing an early headache and being out of commission

Just checked again.
Shipped! 12/14

Crazy that they were ordered 3.5 months apart and I was growing concerned enough to place a redundant order. Now they may be delivered within 10 days of each other. The factory is cookin’ right now.

Update: Ram site shows "Built" status as 12/14 and they removed the Est Delivery date, which showed 1/12/2024.

They did the same with mine. It went into production and had a delivery date. Then it was built and shipped, date gone. 3 days later, my original delivery date reappeared.

You could look at it this way - if it spent a long time in inspection, it was singled out to be ultra thoroughly inspected. If it passed, you can be assured that every single thing was checked out and found to be good. Mine on the other hand, was only glanced at !

I seemed to have similar experience. My Limited was built on Thursday, the 14th and they have done away with estimated delivery date.
