I have been working on my Maximum Steel Laramie 4x4 for a couple of weeks now and have just about got it perfect for me, so I thought I'd share with the Ramily!

Only a couple of items remain, receiving and installing my AFE CAI, and "possibly" new pipes. Still not sure I want the additional sound in the cab that the exhaust will inevitably bring, but I may try it anyway.

Enjoy the pics brothers and sisters! Let me know what you think. :)

This last pic is mine and my son's new Laramie's sitting side by side. My Maximum Steel Metallic "Max" is on the left and his Granite Crystal Metallic "Larry" is on the right. I bought them both only 3 weeks apart. Yes, we are truly BLESSED!

Your Max Steel Laramie looks great, but then again, I'm very partial ;)
Kudos for being an awesome dad and getting your son one also! I have two sons in their 20s, I'd be BROKE!!

Thank you! So does yours!
My boy is 20 and has one more year of college. His 3.75 GPA and hard work is paying off for him.
I got my 18 year old daughter a 2018 Cherokee this year for already completing 2 years of college courses locally with a 4.0. She loves it.

Oh, and I NEVER said that I wasn't broke! o_O

Nice. TIres look great. I like those a lot. I just can't see getting a new truck with new tires, and taking them off and buying a whole new set. You just have the stock tires sitting at home? Are those the stock rims? They look wider.

I am OCD and compelled to get the truck just how I want it as soon as possible. I sold the tires for $450 on craigslist and put that toward the new tire purchase.

They are the stock rims on both mine and my son's trucks. They are plenty wide for me. :)

I'm looking at tonneau covers now. Did you put your MX4 on yourself? What made you pick that one?

I installed myself in about 30 minutes. I had a BakFlip G2 on my 2016 Ram and loved it with the exception of the tailgate close (to keep from damaging the seal at the back of the cover, you had to open the cover, close the tailgate, then close the cover. The MX4 allows the tailgate to be closed without opening the tonneau. They support 400+ pounds on top and come off in 3 minutes to allow the bed to be used for whatever hauling purpose.
I hear that there are multiple good covers out there, but once I know something works for me, I stay with it. :)

Great. I need it to support 375 lbs on top. I pull my camper (travel trailer) onto the beach all summer, and twice a week need to refill the fresh water tanks, so I put a 45 gallon fresh water badder on it (in my Avalanche) and fill it and then pump it into the camper with a 12v pump. Nice that my ramboxes will have a full on plug. Having the bladder on top makes it supper easy. I cringe at people putting it on their cab or in the bed with all the sharp objects.

Any issues with the space at the rear, where water comes in.

THe only thing is they do not lock, correct?

I do see a little water at the back mainly because the tailgate is not sealed in the top corners. This is inherent in most all tonneau covers. I have a seal that I plan to install when I have time.
I had a little leaking into the bed over the wheel wells, but that was sleeping under the plastic bed rail covers. I squeezed the rails down super hard and retightened the clamps and have little to no water there now. :)

Maybe a Max Steel thing I replaced my factory tires after 2 weeks also
I asked my dealer if they would swap them out. I buy new ones and they give credit on the OEM tires. They said no. :(
But they did say I could buy my own tires and they would swap them out for me and I would have to just pay them to. Oh WOW, Thanks!! lol
I told them, so you're telling me I can buy my own tires and pay you to switch them for me. No Thanks, I'll do better at a tire store. lol
So much for making a customer happy on the last 2% of the deal. At lease swap them at no charge. Oh well. A few weeks and Mavis will swap them I guess.
