Wheel Spacers any good?

No, I didn't have to cut any studs.
Both, my night edition 20" wheels and the rebel wheels' pockets are 1" deep. There was at least 1/8" clearance with the 3/4" spacers. I confirmed after installation - no contact and drives as good as before spacers.
šŸ¤”šŸ¤”šŸ¤” I have the night edition 20ā€s so Iā€™ll have to confirm that mine have the pocket as well. Now Iā€™m back to square 1. Lol.

Check for sure, but I'd bet the pockets are 1" too.

Check the studs too.

Is anyone using wheel spacers on a 5th gen ram 1500? I have a 2020 ram 1500 and I was considering it but wanted to get some thoughts on it. Do you recommend them and have you had any issues using them let's say like a 2 inch wheel spacer?
I have 2ā€ KSP spacers on my limited and works fine. Iā€™ve put 5k (no off-roading) and just did a tire rotation and checked everything over. No complaints here.

Just in case anyone was curious BORA stands for ā€œBulletproof Off Road Adaptersā€.

The adapters might be bulletproof, but the extra stress on the hub assembly is an issue.

I appreciate your thoughts. The tires seem pretty good. When having them rotated and balanced they did jot say anything about cupping. I see maybe a little, but not much. Tires have about 5/32.
Wheels are stock black wheels with the dimples. When I checked them I looked for any scratches or marks and did not see any.
Sounds I need to pull them off again and take a deeper dive into this to rule out a few things. Could be the tiresā€¦.it might be in my head, but before the spacers I had to really feel for it and with the spacers it seems to be more pronounced. Wife hardy feels it, but says she can a little. I drive it daily and know itā€™s there slightly.
They only balanced the wheel/tire. If you add spacers, then there is the change. Might check the spacers for balance.

if you decide to use them be sure to check torque every time you change oil or at the very least every time you rotate tires.
If your truck sees a lot of dirt miles then I'd recommend getting proper offset/ backspaced wheels instead. Spacers while wheeling is just one more thing that can go wrong.

True, but if I had to pick: 3/4" wheel spacer vs towing a 9000 pound 5w with only 1300 pounds of payload in my truck, I'm going to guess the wheel spacer stress is just a rounding error compared to that 5w.

No matter what spacers are for look if you want that more aggressive stance and functionality of off road use buy the correct backspaced wheels (offset) either 0 or (-) backspacedšŸ‘šŸ½

Sometimes the wheel/look we want isn't available with the correct offset. Nothing wrong with spacers, they're no more stress than a backspace with the same offset and they're not going to fall off any quicker than your wheels without the spacer.

Sometimes the wheel/look we want isn't available with the correct offset. Nothing wrong with spacers, they're no more stress than a backspace with the same offset and they're not going to fall off any quicker than your wheels without the spacer.

plenty of users here, make sure to get hub centric
and I think the majority stay under 1.5" but I don't see 2" being an issue
My worry was that the oem lugs may stick out from the spacers when putting them on and didn't want to have to trim them down at all. Does the 1.5 have this happen at all? And obviously hoping for no wheel rubbing. I have the rebel trim and is I believe a stock 2 inch lift

Best way to be sure is to pull a wheel and measure a pocket. Every wheel is different, I've haven't seen too many complaints from folks with stock wheels.

anything from loose lugs, to spindle separation to bearing failure All that can be seen is the video is that his wheels are almost as wide as HD tow mirrors. Id10t may have hit a curb, pothole, or any number of other things that started the failure process, but having the wheels that far out with that much leverage on parts shure as he!! finished the day for him and the poor unsuspecting driver in the other vehicle.
If you slow down the video by pause/play/pause then you can see the brake rotor is still attached to the wheel, so a bearing/spindle failure would be my best guess. Ya'all hold ma beer and watch this. Aint I kool?
Here is another one. If you watch enough of this video you will see the rear wheel with spacer attaches, and a little further on the truck with the rear wheel missing, and the studs still intact. Appears to be that the driver never checked and or retorqued the spacer lugs. They should be checked periodically just like trailer alloy wheels.
I'll just stick with shat came on the truck, thank you very much.

That's a lot of speculation. As you noted, stuff needs to be torqued and chequed. In other words, "user error" could be at fault here.

Now did you want me to find pics of guys trashing their little truck pulling a 5w?

Anecdotes are fun, but I guarantee you the stress of pulling your specific 5w on your specific truck far exceeds the additional stress of putting a simple 1 inch spacer on.
