Hi, I just got a 2019 Laramie longhorn and the bottom wood trim on the steering wheel is sticking up like 1/8 inch on the left side.

The dealership said there is no recall and would not answer if it's a warranty part.

He wants 330 for the wood trim and 350 to put it on.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is this a warranty part. 27k miles on truck

If you realy need a new one, they sell for $180 at a online dealer. You can install the trim yourself, it just snaps in.

At 4, almost 5 years old, it's not a warranty thing.

It is a warranty part that people have got replaced.
You are likely outside of your base warranty unless you purchased something like maxcare so it wouldn't matter. It's a 3 year warranty and it starts when the truck was sold, so likely 2018 or 2019 and you should of been given all this information when you bought it if it still had a factory warranty.

The dealership doesn't want to work with you based upon those prices, you can get the part number from the parts department order it online and install your self. Can likely replace the entire wheel for the $700 they want.
