Is the 1" lift in the offroad group to both the front and rear suspension? Or is it more of a level (1" in the front only)?

Front and rear. If you get air suspension, the default is set to the 1" lift, and the standard height is eliminated, and it has 4 settings instead of 5.

And if non air suspension (std) is it still a 1” lift to front and rear?

Yes, front and rear. I was just adding the extra info abut air suspension in case. When I ordered both, I didn't realize it worked that way. I thought all levels would be 1" higher.

My research shows that part number for front and rear shocks are different from non offroad trims vs off road trims. So the 1" inch is from the shocks.

Thought it was taller springs too when I asked this awhile back?

Shocks don’t lift. Springs do.

I thought so too...but I just gave up and looked up what I had.

Shocks from my 2020 Laramie without the off road package

The springs are what give it the lift on ORG, not a longer shock body, if that’s what you’re thinking.

I'm not disagreeing with you at all. But shocks can give you a lift. You can get a lift different ways. You can always throw in a hockey puck for a 1" lift.

I'm just saying that Bilstein 5100 comes with just shocks. You have to use the stock spring and transfer them over.

Shocks do not lift a vehicle. With a lift, it requires longer shocks. With air ride, it has the longer shocks with or without ORG, because it still has an off road setting without ORG.

So not only have I proved myself (pictures dont lie) that the shocks can and will increase ride height, enjoy more facts from Bilstein website when ordering shocks...

Well… the spring can be the same in that example, but the perch is moved up causing more lift from the original spring sitting higher. So it is not the shocks that cause the lift, the different perch mount on the shocks.

Uh, those are adjustable shocks that have a perch for the factory spring to either sit higher or lower on the shock housing. Shocks provide dampening only. You truly have no understanding of their name "shock absorber".

But it's different shocks...same spring.

I don't see anything saying it lifts. It fits up to 2.75" lifted trucks.

But don't tell me that a shock can't increase height. It can in different position.

The factory ORG shocks only have longer travel. They DO NOT increase ride height. It's the ORG springs.

You can't compare factory shocks to aftermarket shocks that have adjustable spring perch settings.
