23% off sounds great (and it is!). I've been sleeping on my order since 21 (I'm an idiot), but my desire for Laramie features remains the same. I have saved build sheets on the configuration for 21, 22, and 23. As close as I can get them, we went from a $58k MSRP in 21 to a $72k MSRP for a 23.

That's a 24% price increase since '21.

So the MD discounts get us back to paying 21 MSRP! :ROFLMAO:
But its way better than a stick in the eye - which is what we've gotten with all this inflation!
(Should have bought in 21 or even 22!! Darn!)

Good catch. Yea the deals are crazy right now but I want to end up around 40k and not 50k. If they go to the 10% discount on Big Horns I think that will get me where I want. I want a well equipped big horn.
We've discussed this. Just about any dealer can give about 10% off "IF THEY WANT TO". We've seen what markups are, what margins are, and dealer even retains their holdback (some give it up to make a sale).
If a dealer can't offer 10% off, move to the next one.

Even a Big Horn has increased almost $3500 from 22 to 23 Model Year.

Laramie @ 17% off. HMMM. Lots of people post and rave and "CLAIM" they got masssive discounts, but we usually question them when its out of the norm for what everyone else could get. they surely get defensive when we question it, and ask them to share their deal paperwork.

I haven't see trade-assist in a while. There are sometimes loyalty or conquest rebates. there is the 1,000 Bonus Cash popup which is pretty easy to obtain. sometimes the dealer has "incentive coupons" of $250 each they can use to seal a deal (based off sales #'s).

Dealer here was offering $54,711 (which I seen with my own eyes on the POC sheet), that was invoice.

Rebates were $4,000 (3,000 plus 1000 bonus), and dealer offered $500 in bonus coupons., so $4500 total.

So that is the BEST offer I've seen on a BTS. $50,211.......So, That's somewhere in the 17% off range.

P.S. It appears there is an extra $1500 in Chrysler Capital rebate cash (But I didn't include that because not everyone would qualify or finance).... I was referring to RAW discounts and rebates.
several rebates such as the trade assist have gone away for a while but could come back if sales continue to slump

I forgot about those incentive coupons the dealer keeps you mentioned for $250 - i did get one of those on my 2021 for like 250-350 some where around that range

What has work for me in the last vehicle purchase was going to a volume dealer for my 4th gen
And end of the month on my 5th gen
I have never special order a vehicle because until I joined this forum I didn't know I could but I think I would have safe some $ going to like mark dodge,

To answer the first question, will they do the same program from RAM rebates on Bighorn level.... possible but may just be worded differently too. Recently quoted a Bighorn Backcountry for someone and with the rebates came out to actually right around 9% discount. That included the CCAP ones that you get for financing with them. Laramies inherently have better margins built in, which is why Mark Dodge has been offering 13% off Laramie/Limited/Longhorn and 11.5% off Bighorn & Rebel.

Someone talking about affiliate, yes, affiliate is normally 1% below invoice. Many of the volume dealers, if the advertised pricing already beats that, will do an additional discount anyway. Sometimes we do $500 extra, sometimes we do the %, depends on the time of year and the vehicle etc etc.

If they do 10% from RAM on BH.... and I can get the damn configurator to do what I want for my own build, I'm ordering one! Would love a brand new backcountry for myself.

@ 24% a BTS would be at 45828. Not sure where they are coming up with all these discounts. That's an extra $4000 over the best deal I've seen.
desperation - I am seeing several videos and reports, ram and ford are tanking - too bad interests are bad, a coworker is trying to get a toyota and best rate he is seeing is over 7% and he claims he has good credit

Would be interesting to know what the "true interest rate" he was approved for. Dealers can mark up an interest rate 2-3 points for their own profit and kickback.

BTS's are generally well equipped
Generally, but I did outline some things earlier they could have changed/added/deleted for that price point.
Most of them sell for $60,305. That sure ain't cheap!

True
I asked him if he had check with his bank and said it was the same but he didn't tell me what bank.
I have seen letter from Bank of America with a 5.75 % - I told him just to shop around dealer and interest - do the work - try to save some $

I see this as an open invitation to share mine. Lol
BTS Tank
Basically, the only thing I DO NOT like about the exterior of the BTS is the grille and bumper. Its simply a Tradesman grille and bumper. with a black RAM logo

See any resemblences? Any I even had Goodyear Wranglers on it - - - Actually, they are Rebel wheels and tires. (Its my old 20 Tradesman) ra3.jpg

different taste my friend, lmao.
that's what I don't like about the back country - no two tone for me and no shiny
my 4th gen was a tradesman but with sport package I think it was, it had body paint bumpers but it got a ton of paint chips - which with a wrap or something could have been prevented
the steel bumpers or tradesman bumpers are holding a lot better on this one and I do like the matte black over shiny black
I know a few BTS owners also didn't like at least the grill and went ahead and color painted them, but just the grill and very few
I get a ton of complements, specially for the color but I have also run into a ram adviser that is clueless and thinks its a tradesman until they see the inside

And you surely don't see a Tradesman with LED headlights! LOL

I wouldn't go as far saying never ever, its turning into a buyer's market. A member recently got a Laramie and claims to have gotten 17k off. He didn't show any paperwork but that is his word and I am not gonna question if he really did. I am happy for him if he go that great of a deal.
I agree that a BTS v8 and all the goodies might be pretty impossible at 43k but there is a buyer for everything and a v6 while a waste to you, me and many others is perfectly fine for some.
let's do a hypothetical scenario in which they flip the offer
@60305
- 6000 10%
- 6000 dealer discount
- 2000 trade in assist (i have seen this between 1-2K at different times)
- 1000 finance thru Chrysler capital (500-1000 is the norm)

45K pending taxes, tittle, etc

not a bad deal

As I seem to remember back in 2020 some member's got their BTS better equip than now around this amount - again things are turning, we shall see - you could be very well correct and no way in hell we see a BTS for 43K
I’m going to go check on a Laramie tomorrow that is almost 16k off MSRP. I talked to the sales manager and he told me this was the price, no games (we will see lol). I’ll follow up once I verify if this is legit or not

At least $7708 of it would be legit (10% off). Not sure where the dealer is pulling another $8188 out of his hat.

I know that but if Ram gives a 10% incentive on the Big Horn that means you are at a starting point of 20% off. 10 from the dealer and 10 from Ram. The dealer can only do so much without Ram taking a hit on their side.

If that 16% includes the 10% incentive from Ram that isn’t a great deal. It’s not bad deal but many places are 23% and beyond on Laramies.
