Installed 15% ceramic on the sides and rear and 35% on the windshield loving the look! I’m praying it’s not to dark for night time driving

Looks great! Didn’t like the Recons? My custom shop recommended them but I wanted something more aggressive. Went with the Toyo Open Country R/T Trails.
I liked them. I just found a really good deal on these MTs and read good reviews on them and decided to try something different. They were also cheaper than the same size in the Recons, plus MT is offering a $100 Visa card rebate on these, which sweetened the deal even more.

I mean, what device did you use to do the OBD? Like this one? I’m still learning.

@Rampat…@Jamram…Ah, gotcha….here’s what I bought from Amazon based on other users’ recommendations on this forum. All of these work great.

Security Bypass Cable ($16.85 on Amazon)

OBD Module ($22.99 on Amazon)

I have a Samsung A7 Lite tablet from Best Buy…think I paid about $119 for it on sale but there are definitely cheaper options.

AlfaOBD software was $49

So, all in it was about $208 to be able to change settings in my truck. At first I wasn’t sure I’d have much use for it but I’ve already changed 4-5 settings and this forum gives me more great ideas every day.

Hope this helps!

How are you liking those tires?

I mean, what should I set the TPMS sensor to trigger at? Should it be a percentage lower? 5psi lower? I’m not sure where to set it for the light to trigger.
i set mine at 40 but on colder days my tires are shown to be at 37-39 and nothing triggered. Therefore I think you set it at the psi you want will be ok

i finally mouted my 35x12R18 Wildpeak AT3W back to the stock location.
Few things needed to complete this:
-Trimming the back side of tow hitch.
-Removal of exhaust heat shield.
-Airing down spare. I am at 30PSI currently. May need to air down more.
-Use of a wheel spacer: since I have Method 305NV and the wheel bore size is way bigger than stock, the stock spare hanger is a bit too short for the Method bore. I bought a pair of 1.5" wheel spacers off Amazon to reduce the bore size to fit the hanger. I went with 1.5" because it is the thinnest I could find that came with studs to secure the spacer onto the wheel. I only used 3 lug nuts since there's no vehicular load on it.

But at least now I have usable space on top of my Decked.
But one down side is the tire is very close, if not touching, the panhard bar. I might drop the spare and adjust it closer to the tow hitch receiver but driving on the road so far is fine.

Had another small bubble appear on my dash pod cover.

Injected some Weldwood contact cement with an old turkey baster then heated the area with a heat gun then rolled it out, perfect.

Clamped it with 3 spring clamps and an old spare license plate to apply pressure to the whole area

Should be better than new in a few hours

Nice work. How do you remove that from the dash?

You robbed the boy of a valuable lesson right there, and shot yourself in the foot at the same time.

You should have given him a $200 discount on the price of the car and let him recondition his own wheels. It's a part of vehicle ownership.

Now you've spent $1000 only for him to buy a new set of rims in 2 months time (like we all did as young boys).
He’s in different circumstances than I was when I was his age. 1. He’s like 50x smarter and even a little more responsible than I was then, so this was a bit of a gift.
And 2. He is somehow as bothered when she curbed those rims as I was. hahah most likely cuz he was thinking “she’s doing this to what will be my car soon”. Haha.

I got warned about my 25% front door tint by the PoPo the other day. No ticket, but he said remove it. It wasn’t police where I live so it’s gonna stay!
We have a lot of tinted front windows in my area. I'm hoping the police just don't care, and hoping my handicap license plate will sway any decisions to pull me over for tint. 😆
Good luck with yours!

I’d never dark tint my front windshield. I’d do a light ceramic tint if anything.
At my age, I have a hard enough time seeing in the dark! LOL

Love my 35% tinted windshield with my factory LED headlights. Actually makes driving at night better as it cuts down on headlight glare from oncoming cars. And I can still see 1/2 mile down the road with headlights.
