Welp, I'm in the boat boys. Rained last night and went out to my truck to go to work. Saw a drip on the rail for the sliding window and the headliner was damp. Greeeeeaaaat

I just bought a new BH 2022 on the dealers lot ,i specificaly asked if they had a BH without power window. They had one with a solid window ,i ended up purchasing it,for this very reason. It doesnt have some of the bells and whistles as others but i can add most of that myself which i already have. I am also replacing the 3rd brakelight with the new one that came out with the bigger gasket. Alreay went to the dealer and looked at it.

If the frame is the same plastic material, I don't see this being a solution. Can you post some pics of the frame from the interior?

So folks that have rear window leaks use that window a lot? Like riding around with it open? Not sure if this would make is worst. Just thinking.

I can see this as a possible solution since the plastic frame is supported the entire way across by the glass with the solid rear window. Windows with the slider have what are basically two points where it can flex, on either side of the slider. Which is exactly where most of the cracks are forming.

Light rain this morning and it's leaking worse than before, I'm taking it back in this afternoon, not sure what you can do to help but they clearly made it worse with their "fix".
We'd be happy to get you in touch with a case manager who can work alongside your dealer for repair and disgnosis. If you're interested in an additional layer of assistance, please direct message us!

Callie,

I think we all appreciate that Ram Cares is willing to help as an interface to our local dealership, but this is a Corporate issue. We need your organization to raise this up to someone that can address this from the Top down.

No one wants to go through this and certainly not multiple times.

The Dealerships are as frustrated as us owners!!!! This is a complete waste of time and money.

I also believe the water penetration through the rear window is causing "Electrical" issues that are a major safety concern.

You may be right about those cracks, but I'm not sure if that's happening with the 21 and newer trucks. I don't think it's going to be a fix for those of us that have the small cracks in the upper right and left corners of the windows.

Is there a plastic frame? It kinda looks like they glue the window straight to the truck.

No plastic frame that i can see . Looks like its glued on like the windshield.

I think I can see the plastic frame behind the glass. My frame has a small crack in this spot on both sides, right below the roof channel trim.

Your interior pics are too dark to see if there is a plastic frame. You might need to peek under the headliner to see if there is a frame.

Edit: Doing a search for solid rear windows, I found a pic on eBay that shows it to be a frameless piece of glass that does adhere to the rear of the cab like the windshield. If I can't get mine to stop leaking with Permatex, I'll just buy one and have my local glass company install it.

Got mine back after the entire rear window replacement. It rained pretty hard the day after I got it back and no leaks so far. The rain cleared up today, so I put the bed cover back on. There is more rain on the way, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. 🤞🏻

It never rains in California 🎶
