Swapped out the chrome emblems for black ones. Did all except the hood badge. I think I might just leave it.

I’m having my sidesteps sprayed with Rhino Lining tomorrow and black exhaust tips are supposed to be delivered tomorrow as well. That’s it for a while!

Side steps are done, black tips installed.

I did tell a little white lie in my previous post. I’m actually not totally done. I have an appointment next week to get PPF on the front bumper, and the front windows tinted.

He is also going to try and tint the taillights to mimic night edition tails.

Then I’m done… for now.

Did you do the aide steps yourself?

Really happy with this Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray. Can’t be beat for the price.

No, I had them done by Rhino Linings. I had the same done on my 19 BigHorn, and I loved it. However, the shop I used no longer does it. The new shop didn’t do as nice a job. Instead of removing the “step pads” and end caps they masked it off and I could see the stainless around some of the edges. I had to touch it up with flat black paint.

You can buy covers for the center part of taillights to cover up the red. They are carbon fiber pattern, but can be painted black before installing

I’ve seen those. That would probably be my second choice. I’m not sure how good they look in person. Plus I’ve heard conflicting reports on whether or not they cause issues with Parksense, cross path, blind spot, etc. Some say they do, some say they don’t. Not sure who to believe. I suppose I could just buy them and see for myself.

Received my @VICE design front skid plate. This was sent to me to "make it right" after I found their rear tow hook brackets don't work with the Borla 5" tips. Ordered some aerosol bed liner to coat is before install

I have this problem. Was going to long travel my truck, but changed my mind within a couple weeks and bought a Jeep XJ to build into a JeepSpeed racer.

Awesome! I was thinking about doing that but I already did too much work with the lift/reinforcement added weight. A forum user known as CobraMarty has been extremely helpful through the forum & direct email. His supercharger design has become a production model now if you’re interested in that - Boosted Technologies is the website. I’ve done all the prep work to accept the supercharger & that along has helped a ton - but now I think I’m gonna scrap all my hard work over the past 13 years & auction it on bringatrailer.com next year for something completely different. Good luck with your build! I’m always available if I can help through DM.

Yeah, my buddy and I are going half in together. Going to build a 1700 category racer. Cheaper and less crazy.

Was it difficult perhaps because of the paint on the studs? I've seen install videos where they say to use a solvent and wire brush (or equivalent) to get the paint off. I was advised to use a die (8 mm - 1.25) and just rachet that on and then off and it will do the job with less mess. I have ordered and received that and that's what I'll be trying when I get my RB20's. I thought they did have torque specs as well but you're right, it doesn't say anything on the install instructions.
That’s what I started doing today. Does anyone know what the torque specs are for the install of OEM running boards on a Ram 1500

More complex meaning it has basically a male and a female OBD connector on it. And is completely different than any other SGW bypass on the market.
Can also leave it in permanently.

The guide from the main ALFAobd Thread (1400+ posts) over on ram forum links to the kaodtech.

I leave my TazerDT in permanently. And don't have to do anything with the factory OBD connector other than plug in my scan tool when I want to use it

Same for my bypass. The obdi port included works like normal. It snaps right back into the slot like the original.

I can make changes to alpha or read codes any time. Without disconnecting anything. Port is fully functional.

I probably would pull it for a trip to the dealer though.
