You're correct. I want the 2500 Rebel. Best of both worlds. But the Power Wagon actually has a lower payload & towing rating than the 1500 though..? Doesn’t it?

We’re talking about where to plug the security by-pass into aren’t we or did I miss read the OP’s post?I believe that's incorrect. The two dark plugs on the right are the SGW. The white block is the canbus junction (or whatever you call it).
Sounds like there are some semantics to deal with. He asked for the gateway plugs (so he could bypass them). The black ones are the gateway plugs. We’re talking about where to plug the security by-pass into aren’t we or did I miss read the OP’s post?
Here’s what Koadtech says about connecting their Security Bypass Module.
aftermarket. Had the same place the dealer sends their stuff to. It was 45 min away but very happy with the job.LOL gotcha. have it done at a dealer, or aftermarket?
Like... you put the truck in park and they go in automatically?aftermarket. Had the same place the dealer sends their stuff to. It was 45 min away but very happy with the job.
Thanks all, I found the bypass and I now have auto folding mirrors.
Have no Idea how to up load video? But Love them.
Thats how I read it... I'd love to get that to work.Like... you put the truck in park and they go in automatically?
No sorry have to push the buttonLike... you put the truck in park and they go in automatically?
I guess I misunderstood what he was trying to do. Thanks for clarifying.Sounds like there are some semantics to deal with. He asked for the gateway plugs (so he could bypass them). The black ones are the gateway plugs.
You're talking about a specific harness that bypasses security using the canbus and OBD II (I'm not really familiar with that harness or what it's for).
Here's a snippet from the Tazer DT manual, showing the security gateway plugs.

I did this wrong then...The security bypass cable for AlfaOBD plugs into the black block, not the white ones.

yeapEasiest way to test would be to put power to the wire before installing them in the truck and see if the DRLs come on with nothing else connected. Would obviously need a ground as well
I mean, if he has the tools to install the headlights he has the tools to test the wiring.yeap
i would test it that way if he has tools/ stuff for him to feed power and ground. if not then just connect all the harness other than the fuse tap and key on.
Depends on how the 1500 is configured, but it's absolutely possible. I'm usually a strict numbers capacity guy while towing/hauling, but with a bigger chassis, the 6.4, and 4.10 rears, I'd still take the power wagon regardless of the numbers if I could. That diesel 2023 model really has my interest, but whew! That price tag.But the Power Wagon actually has a lower payload & towing rating than the 1500 though..? Doesn’t it?
Does your Laramie have halogen headlights on purpose?
Going with a relay, the button switch I'm using is too small to handle the current going though the fuse tapI mean, if he has the tools to install the headlights he has the tools to test the wiring.
The Halogens on Laramie were optional for a short period during the chip shortage. Probably why he’s got them.Does your Laramie have halogen headlights on purpose?
