I think it's still an option, or more like an option that can be removed

Going with a relay, the button switch I'm using is too small to handle the current going though the fuse tap
Most switches can handle 5 amps if that's all the fuse for the DRLs have from manufacturer

Depends which security bypass you are using. The Kaodtech cable plugs into the white and green rows.

That's the one I am using with ALFAobd.

I've never seen that bypass cable mentioned on this forum. What's the advantage of the Kaodtech harness vs all of the other security bypass modules that plug into the SGW?

More complex. Probably costs more.

Swapped out the chrome emblems for black ones. Did all except the hood badge. I think I might just leave it.

I’m having my sidesteps sprayed with Rhino Lining tomorrow and black exhaust tips are supposed to be delivered tomorrow as well. That’s it for a while!

it looks very nice :) if you change your.mind for the hood, its pretty easy to do and cost about 130$ for original part

I have this problem. Was going to long travel my truck, but changed my mind within a couple weeks and bought a Jeep XJ to build into a JeepSpeed racer.

Good lord the price of that part has gone up. That's what I did on mine but only swapped the emblems and not the entire hood bezel.

yes it did, how much was it when you did it?
, but still is not that bad, 130 for the complet bezel including the 2 badges.. i did buy mine, waiting to get better to install it, not sure if ill swap the bezel or just swap the badges... there is a small scratch on the new bezel vs mine is not scratch

I remember it being around $130 around the same time when I first bought my truck which was in 2020. $130 is not a bad price for that piece… could be much worse.

I think it was just shy of $100 in summer of 2019. If the scratch is noticeable then I would just swap the emblems. Swapping just the emblems probably won't save you any time but I feel you take a less chance of messing something up by just swapping the emblems.

Takes 5 mins to install. No tools required. $55 shipped.
There are probably cheaper options.
More complex meaning it has basically a male and a female OBD connector on it. And is completely different than any other SGW bypass on the market.
