Auto fold mirrors when doors are locked

Hello,

I have a 2022 ram 1500 limited and was wondering if there is a setting that automatically folds the mirrors when you lock and unlock doors? If that doesn’t exist is there a setting that folds/unfolds mirrors when you turn on/off engine?
 
unless it has been changed on the newer vehicles, on my 19 Ltd, you have to hit the button each time...no automatic setting. BUT....You can set it up to do what you want it to with the Alpha Bod aftermarket programmer I believe.

Thanks for the insight. I will check it out. Basically in Miami if you don’t have your mirrors folded in thieves assume your car is unlocked.

alfaOBD can't do it. You will have to buy a TazerDT and use the live settings. Then they will fold when you turn truck off, and open when you start the truck
 
ok, I just dropped and gave 20....Tazer it is!
 
Taser Dr is still not 100% compatible with the 2022 last post I read was it should be fixed Aug
 
It's incredible what manufacturers will do to save a buck. I'm currently in a different country driving a Toyota Fortuner (think Hilux 4Runner), it's a more basic trim and doesn't come with auto folding mirrors. But guess what, Toyota sells a plug and play module that adds auto-fold mirrors, something that should have came with this rig to begin with.

But thanks for the module link above, I'll need that for my Rebel when I get back.
 
For that price just get the TazerDT and have more than just a one trick pony.

Naviks price is $200, has anyone actually tried it out? Kinda cool to have that option. There isn’t much information in the video. Just shows removing door panel and which plugs that you will need access to.

Yeah, $200 for a device that only folds the mirrors. And that you can't turn off/on. $330 for a device that does all that, and so much more. I get it, not everyone wants or needs all the features the TazerDT offers, but it's a better all around value. When I got mine there were forum group buys going on that brought that price below $300. I'm sure if someone wanted to organize one through Z-Automotive, there has probably been enough time to get enough orders for another group buy discount.

Here is one website selling for $299, just need to pay attention to shipping costs. Sometimes companies offset discount prices with higher shipping costs.
