I feel you, man. We had one here that did it for a ****ing year. Every window on the house, both cars, all day long, every day. Even called around to pest control companies - no one would remove him because he was a protected State bird. I chased him around and around the house with an air rifle for a couple of weeks. Then, he mysteriously disappeared.....Came home yet again. Over a week now. Everyday. This red cardinal is attacking itself. Well he thinks he is. Flying into rear window, side mirrors, ****#ing all over it. I didn’t want to kill it but now I don’t care. I can never get him close. Wife said she can literally pull up. And he will fly in. He has now scratched the side mirror.
Any ideas how to get it to stop? If I come home tomorrow and there is more signs of it. Walmart and BB gun it is.
Yeah that's a good idea, I will start doing this tomorrow! Not really related, but maybe the same technique could help you:
I had a woodpecker doing a number to the side of our house. I looked into various ideas (and learned that killing it would be illegal, if I even had a way of doing so that wouldn’t involve putting even bigger holes into the siding), including an overpriced device that plays owl sounds.
Something that plays nothing but owl sounds seemed like a waste, but it gave me an idea: use a Bluetooth speaker to play owl sounds I found on YouTube.
It worked! I’d leave the speaker out for 4-6 hours per day, for several days in a row so the woodpecker wouldn’t come back. After no more than a week of doing this, I’d stop putting the speaker out, and the woodpecker wouldn’t return for several months. When it did, I’d just put the speaker out for another few days, and it’d be gone again.
This has worked for me for about two years, and I’ve only had to put the speaker out for three or four stretches.
Are cardinals afraid of owls? Maybe it’s time to find out.
Same here same thoughts.I'll be getting the Mopar one. They're the best looking in my opinion.
you know what? good call! i just did a little homework on the Mopar ones and noticed they have a little curve/cut-out on the front one where they come down to the bottom in the front and this dude figured out why with his after market ones... here's a clip of his power fold mirrors with the EGR's he put on...I'll be getting the Mopar one. Wet application works best for the taillights and third brake light. Allows them to be slid around to correct position before they stick for good. That tailgate badge inlay is a PITA no matter what you do.Threw on my overlays from TheOverlayGuy. Probably the hardest thing I've done to this truck. Might end up ordering another set down the road, but this will do for now.
Did the 3rd brake light too, but forgot to take a picture.
EDIT: Took a photo of the brake light.
Yeah, I figured that out eventually. I'll grab another set another day and do it better.Wet application works best for the taillights and third brake light. Allows them to be slid around to correct position before they stick for good. That tailgate badge inlay is a PITA no matter what you do.
idk, doesn't look like it on their site. I'd hate to get em shipped to find out its not quite right, plus they're about the same price as the mopaaaaah ones, so, i'm just goin with those.t

Either way, I was just informing that they do have the curves. I have the weathertechs on my truck.idk, doesn't look like it on their site. I's hate to get em shipped to find out its not quite right, plus they're about the same price as the mopaaaaah ones, so, i'm just goin with those.

Doing 300 miles on Sunday and hopping to keep the beast at around 30 MPG average for the tank.
I had already done the foot well kit because they offered that first, but the rest of the retrofit kit only took me about 4.5 hours. Did you get hung up on something?Day 2 of my Paragoptics retrofit kit install. Lots of wire runs. Good news is I only rage quit twice during the install yesterday!
I’m about 10 hours deep into this project. Lot’s of detailed work but I think the results will be well worth it!
