Warranty question...

I purchase my truck with extended warranty. Which will cover my truck up until 125k miles. I plan to keep this truck for 11-14 years. Do you think I should have gotten the lifetime warranty instead? If I wanted to change, will it be took late? I purchased my truck on November 3rd.

Don't know what you paid for your warranty, but if not much more I would go with the lifetime.

Yes you should be able to cancel, I did with no hassel.

Awesome. Do I call the dealer or the place that the dealer got for me? Do you happen to know which company does lifetime warranty? Also, isn’t this price added to the loan? Then will I have to redo the loan again once i get the lifetime warranty?

I called the dealer, went in signed some papers and done.

You have 60 days to cancel for the full refund, however, you only have until November 30th to get the lifetime, starting December 1st it is no longer being offered. They just removed the 1650 that I paid for my first warranty from the loan. My dealer couldn't get the lifetime in time so I went through Ziegler, one quick phone call and it was done.

There are many places that sell the warranties. I would get with them first before canceling your current warranty. There have been some reports in the past of VINs getting flagged for removing the warranty and then buying else. Just want to cover your bases and make sure you don't get screwed over.

Call Clay at Robbins Motors 785-537-0357 ($50 over MSRP). They were cheaper than Zeigler, although Bob's pretty close at $100 above MSRP. I got the Ram Advantage (5yr/100k/$100 deductible) for $1160. See attached "SAMPLE".

Yes. It is the same mopar warranty. Clay was who I got mine from as well. Very easy.

Last question. I just called the finance guy at the dealer. He said I will have to get with the finance company to take it away. But he said he can’t make a new contract. Does it a new contract have to happen because of the total amount of the previous warranty been taken out?

Yes, that's correct. Or you could go with Clay and save another $40 (which I learned after I bought mine). Every 1% helps, right?
