So far..almost at 400 miles on the truck and I am getting 20 to 21. But of course I am doing 80 on 3.92 gears in a rebel. Is it anyones experience that the mpg gets a bit better after a few thousand on the truck? Granted I have not done any highway trips more than 30 minutes so that is probably affecting it some.

I have 42,000 km (26,000 miles) and I have not noticed an improvement. Summer highway at 110 kph =68 mph fuel hand calculated 9 L/100km =31 mpg Canadian gallon =25 mpg US gallon, as long that I’m not going against a strong head wind.

With my tires in my sig, I dropped 3mpg on the last 2 tanks. I was at an average of 28.7 over 3 tanks with a set of 275/55/20 falken wildpeaks. Contact patch, rolling resistance, and unsprung weight all play big factors in mpg. Keep in mind you’re probably on a winter blend fuel also.

73k miles and it pretty much stays that mpg at 80mph. The sweet spot is about 65mph and it goes down from there.

Just did a straight highway trip of 440 kms. Saw 7.9 l/100 km (29 MPG) set at 112 km/h (69 MPH) 20 Rebel wirh Blizzak snows on. Overall average wirh city / hwy is around 23. I just ran the good old double dose of Diesel Extreme in this tank so not sure if that helped. Compared to my last truck (2011 Ecoboost F150 Crew) this thing is awesome and the same And often better than my other half’s Mazda CX-5 compact SUV. I just rolled 29k Kms on it.

I have found that my truck's calculated fuel economy is off by a considerable percentage (and naturally, it's telling me that I'm doing better than I actually am). You should probably do some pen-and-paper calculations as a comparison, to see how truthful your truck is.

That’s excellent mileage if the trip computer is correct. Best I’ve gotten is 8.4l/100km on a 1400 km trip. Almost made it in one tank.

Drove home last night and had a bit of a tailwind but had 34.0 mpg for the mostly 59mph portion of my trip. Then jumped on the Interstate and had 28.5mpg after mostly 69mph with some 75mph mixed in. Pretty heavy optioned up 3.21 gears. Very pleased!

A lot of people have 4x4, and a good amount have the 3.92. Even in 2WD mode, there are some extra moving parts that might rob some efficiency.

Anyone with the RWD 3.21? I'm planning on the 2022 RWD EcoDiesel, 3.21 FD and 33-gal tank.

That would be the ultimate mpg ram, don’t forget the air suspension for aero mode.

Running a 21 limited with 3.92's and mileage is great. Driving 60 miles each way every day for the last 10 days with about 10 miles of city and the rest interstate at 70+ my avg is 28. Gets better if run 65-70 but get passed by evrything on the road.

I’m old so I’m not in near as big a hurry as I used to be so keep my speed at 65 on the interstate. The truckers set their speed in the right lane and let the “bunny rabbits” fly by so I decided to adopt the practice. I’ll speed up when passing do as to not hold up traffic and it seems to work for me as well as the drivers around me (no middle finger or honking).

I’ve found I can get 30.1 consistently at 60 mph and 29.4 at 65 mph.

With that said, seeing $4.29 a gallon for diesel yesterday at Krogers and the local truck stop, I may be getting 100 MPGs as I push the thing down the highway! (Gasoline was ONLY $3.55)

I should have an interested comparison at the end of May, my buddy owns a 2021 gmc with their 3.0 inline diesel and is going to drive up along side my truck to my place up north. The trip is close to 1500 km each way so it should be a good comparison of the two diesels.

His truck is not lifted and has what I would call highway tires on it, compared to my rebel he should get much better mileage.

Going off memory...don't they also have a 10 speed box (designed with Ford)?
