Can’t you just hold onto the tube and push the filler opening with your finger from your other hand then just pull the tube out ?

From what read there is another door beyond the filler that holding the tube in place have find something to put inside the tube to depress the second door to make it release

You’ll probably have to use a long flat blade screwdriver to open the doors up to get the tube out. There is a funnel under your passenger side seat that is for when you have to fill up with a jerry can or when you add fuel injector cleaner.

Finally got it out had insert screwdriver through tube
Glad you got it out, there is a second flap in the neck as you now know. It’s there because its a cap less design apparently. If you’re filling from a can or something with a tube like that use the funnel from the truck. It’s a white plastic tube that’s with the jack and lug wrench under the passenger seat and is designed to open both flaps so you can fill from jerrycans safely.

Ah, so that’s what that is for. Found myself covered in Seafoam at a gas station because I didn’t depress the second flap when I poured it in. Ended up borrowing a pen from the gas station attendant to hold that flap down while I poured.

Yeah I leaned about it the hard way too, seems like something a dealership should mentio along with a couple other quirks but mine didn’t show me squat.

That tube is plastic.

The plastic is in the way.

Plastic burns.

Things that burn turn to ash and won't be in the way.

Fuel filters catch ash.

I think you see where I'm headed... :)

Light the top of the tube on fire, and in a few minutes you won't have a problem with it being stuck in your tank anymore.
