Interesting. Their pricing well let me put it like this back when I bought my 14 ram I always cross shopped Chevy just to see… ram/dodge was always the better bargain and gave your more bang for your buck. The same was true when I decided to go the 5th gen route. Same can be said with their pricing once again. Ram will 9/10 out beat them and dealers will give you more bang for your buck but I’m sure they’ll sell well but unless something drastic changes your not getting that much money off MSRP from a Chevy dealer.

Imagine this. A Ram Limited “Ultra” with a Waggoner interior and the 6.4

itll happen soon. 100k 1500 pickups are only a couple years away as people with more money prefer the utility, idk about the 6.4 in it... but the ram interior appointments on par with the wagoneer are certainly coming if not already planned

That's a fact. I test drove a new Ram with the 5.7 and it's a great motor for sure. But there's no truck on the market that can match the 6.2/10 speed combo.

I wish I could put that drivetrain in a Limited Ram with the F150's payload.

Just take my money.

If internet doomdaying was persuasive, I wouldn't have ordered a Ram.

It’s a little bit more than that. They like spinning mains for some reason.

Same if you go on the Camaro and vette forums.

It’s a 6.2 issue not so much the 5.3.

It really isn't more than that.

The first things I saw when I came here were engine failures and transmission problems. It's a small sample size. Just like the 6.2 issues.

I still help run one of the large gm forums and know a few who had issues. It’s a little more prevalent than the issues that have been popping up here.

Go visit your local gm dealer and ask the techs about it.

They still have no idea why mains keep going out.

One of the reasons I decided to go to ram with the e torque. Close to the same power but a more dependable engine overall.

"A few who had issues" on "one of the large gm forums" sounds like it's exactly what I said it is.

When you tune them and beat the snot out of them, they're going to have more issues just like every other engine ever.

6.2 has more power and has a longer history of reliability.

I'm coming to a Ram from three Denalis in a row, and it isn't because of the engine.

The older ones absolutely. The new ecotec ones, not so much.

And a lot of the ones with a spun main were stock.

But sure, if that’s what you think.

Cool. I'll be sure to stay away from the new 2016 Corvettes next time I'm shopping for a Sierra Denali.

It lists the sierra as well if you read it. Again older tsb, but new ones have the same issue.

At least you have a ram so now all you have to worry about is lifter oiling ;)

I did read it.

I might be worried if I had a 2016 Corvette 5 years ago...

And don't have the Ram yet, so there's still time to make the mistake of going back to the best engine you can get in a half ton. 🍻

Man I have had several 6.2 10 speeds, no problems at all. I actually talked to my service advisor at the chevy/dodge dealership. I ask him if I should get a ram or silverado again, he said definitely the silverado. No one had one in stock so I bought my 21 Limited. No problems to speak of, it is just no match for the 6.2/10, not even close.
I really like my ram just to be clear, I wish they would offer the larger hemi without going to the TRX.

Nah, one of those with the non afm 5.3 or the non vortec max 6.0. Or the pre 2014 6.2. Couldn’t kill them.

The glory days of gm.

I had an 04 GMC k2500 with the 6.0. Loved that truck. But I didn't need a HD truck anymore. That's when my relationship with Ram started after trading the GM in for a 2015 Ecodiesel.
