Finally got the oval on today. Another extremely satisfied customer. Sounds fantastic when accelerating and very quiet when cruising. Not sure if Imgur links work here but I’ll post one that has sound.

Has anyone with the B2 oval and rez delete decided to go louder. It sounds 100x better than stock but I’d prefer it louder and wife agrees.

If so, what muffler did you swap to. B2 aggressive, carven, borla, etc.

TIA

The b2 aggressive is loud with the res deletes. I ran the carven competitor on my 4th gen and that was loud too, but more on the raspy side. The b2 aggressive and res delete sounds deeper and a lot healthier IMO. I wouldn’t want it any louder. I ran a muffler delete with res deletes when I first got my truck and that was just too much and unrefined. Sounded stupid

Is that with res delete or not? What your thoughts on when MDS kicks in, annoying, noticeable with windows up, sounds bad in MDS mode?? thanks

No resonator delete. I’ve gotten into the habit of just clicking out of eco mode to prevent mds from coming on. When I drove solo it’s not an issue because the radio is louder than if they family is in the truck with me. Side note…I did two small road trips the last two months with eco off and got the best mpg’s I’ve ever got while doing strictly Highway. That being said, I wouldn’t call the drone annoying but maybe after time it could get there.

I actually noticed the last few weeks that it’s louder with the windows down than with the windows up while at a standstill.

Overall I’m still quite pleased with it. It’s nice to hear the Hemi doing it’s business lol

Is everyone keeping their ANC with the magnaflow set up? No funny business?

How would you remove that? Or is it something that can be deactivated?

Just a bypass harness that plugs in and deactivates the microphones. Most folks do it when they add an aftermarket sub, but I thought that I read that some exhausts can affect it.

Well, if it ain't making some awful low frequency noises when you get on it, you're good!

I haven’t had a issue. But if you do, roll down your window. Should go away, then again there’s another issue

So I decided to get a clip of the exhaust prior to installing the 5" Mopar tips so we can do a side by side comparison.

Outside temp was about 65 F when I recorded this.

Sir, I made it through 14pages until I got to your clip of the start up. That is exactly what I have been waiting to hear. that sounds amazing! Care to give me a list of what exactly you did?

I installed the (oval muffler - moderate sound) and have been very pleased. (y)

I left all of the resonators in place.

I just installed the B2 Oval muffler with 5" round tips. All the parts supplied were top notch. Installation was a breeze. Hardest part was to cut the pipe. I unbolted the rear hanger than unhooked the front and unbolted the flange. Flipped the hangers on the bench and slid back underneath and bolted the new parts up.
Checked the tailpipes and bed step, then I loosened the clamp and took a piece of wood and tapped the tail pipes a little to get them to appear straight with the bumper (one was inside one was sticking out a little) , then re tightened the clamp. All better. Alignment is perfect with the bed step and tailpipes.

I used another 3" clamp that was a little smaller than the one supplied (so I can get it to tighten up more) plus I used a little muffler seal in the event I had a leak. This was just an extra measure I took while I was putting it on. I may have wasted my time in doing the sealant but I did it so I just did the job once.

Tomorrow I want to drive it with my video camera while it's not raining to judge the sound. The sound in the garage is very nice. A little louder than stock with a lower tone. No popping when you rev it up. I didn't hear any drone between 1500 and 2000. I will confirm this when I do the official test drive in dry weather.

I ended up getting my B2 oval muffler welded last week. I installed myself almost a year ago and could never just get the clamp tight enough. It was totally bottomed out. I started noticing a noise a couple weeks ago and finally got under the truck and the joint was totally loose and had soot all around it. Brought it to my local trusted shop and they cleaned it up and welded the seam. Sounds perfect again.
