My Ram has several issues that are on the whole truck, this is my 4th Dodge truck over the years since 1987. My truck here is a year and half old with 17000 miles, my tires are worn out,, my drivers side auto step works when it wants, my steering wheel wood insert is turning orange, both front wheels are corroding, ramboxes uneven and the big one, leather dash is coming up.20210826_163451.jpg

Damn. That really sucks. Are they going to cover everything?

Just curious what part of the country you're from. They may claim environmental influence on some of this but I'd keep their feet to the fire. Cosmetic issues are VERY difficult to get covered under almost any company's warranty anymore and are usually very clearly excluded (in the small print). Not cool nonetheless!!!

As for the tires, how many times have they been rotated by chance? Just curious....

I rotated the tires at 10000 miles. I live in Key West, but my last truck with 20 in aluminum rims lasted 16 years.

Keep us informed on the outcome. I've heard reports of similar leather dash issues and RamBox warping from "sun exposure". The tire wear thing is really weird. I rotate every 5000 myself but those seem like an extreme wear pattern. Not sure what to say on the rims. My automatic running board usually had a "delay" in it where I would hear/feel it coming back in after moving just a little bit but never had it where it didn't work at all. Also, the orange tint in the steering wheel would DRIVE ME NUTS!

That sucks, good luck. I also have a 20 Limited. Let us know how it turns out.

Cripes, whats going to happen in a couple more years? The silence from @RamCares these days is deafening

WOW! What tire pressure are you running?

Owww on that Rambox. Mine, so far are perfect. Was it like that at first and only developed later? Or was it from the gitgo? I just washed mine and the matte black trim piece got a rock hit and it is white plastic underneath.

I run 36 psi like the trucks says, just dropped off, the dealer said its the third dash he's seen go bad this year, I hope the new one will have better glue.

My ramboxes have looked like that from the start, didnt notice it at first but looked at the dealer photos on the web, that I saved after I bought it, and they were warped

I still love the ramboxes, don't miss a full bed at all. My last truck was a 2005 dodge and didn't have them out yet, and yes, I had that truck for 16 years and it never had an issue, never went back to any dealer, I did all the oil changes, the only reason I got a new one is because I could afford it and a retirement present to myself from the Navy.

You're from Florida and you don't like the orange accent on the wheel? Maybe its the Florida version of the Longhorn...LOL
I hope they cover everything. I think the wheels will be the toughest, they might say you used an abrasive cleaner or something. I don't see any issues getting the rest fixed. Biggest concern for me would be how long you might be waiting for parts with all the supply chain issues.

The dealer said it looks like the Clearcoat is delaminating on the wheels, let's see what they will do, I'm getting new tires today also, nitto terra grapplers.

I found my factory tires wore super fast as well under regular wear and rotation. Unfortunately it's the manufacturer trying to keep costs down by opting for basic cheap tires which are basically meant for passenger cars.

As for the others, sounds like some bad luck. My 19 limited hasn't seen any of those issues, yet. Knock on wood.

Yeah, most OEM tires are junk to get the vehicle out the door and on the road. There are exceptions, but there are quite a few tires out there that if you research them they will have a "retail" version and an "OEM" version. Tread might look the same but construction is different.

I just want to know how you survived driving a Limited year-round in Key West without 3rd degree burns. That giant sunroof + black leather + crew cab = solar oven. Turn on the AC to convert it to an air fryer.
