Actually....that's not a bad idea! The flights into New Orleans one way are $150 and direct from IAD w/ no stops. I might ask Aaron to drop it there for me and maybe fedex me a key fob and I'll just fly into the airport and pick it up from the parking lot. it'd save me 3 hours of driving and $350 in airfare.

I could also have them do Houston. there are a few dozen flights from DC to Houston every day.

I'm gonna butt out though because I'm sure some people who have been waiting 6 months don't want to see multiple posts about me picking up my truck. sorry for those who are still waiting.
Seems like someone earlier mentioned they got their truck at the Houston airport.

Just looked at my build sheet and it lists a 23-gallon tank. Oh well, I’ll see if my dealer will help me. Anyhow, I did get notification today that it will be delivered between today (5/11) and 5/20!
Well it’s the 22nd and still no truck. They decided to extend the delivery period 10 days. So out to the 31st I wait.

Well guys, I made it a grand total of 5.5 weeks. The wait is now killing me! haha
It would probably help if I knew when my build would happen as I would have set dates to look forward to, rather than the usual schedule of abyss. Looking at some of you other Limiteds and your order dates, my best hope is a build starting in the next week or two (I think).
I swear, this is worse than waiting for Christmas.

Have you contacted Ramchat?

If you shipped and anyone else that ships.. did anyone inspect the car or did you just let the dealer do that?
also if you shipped /are shipping how did you handle the closing of the deal from a distance?
thank you
Mine hasn't shipped yet, but Bud Clary said they'll do a video of the entire inspection and send it to me. There are also specific areas I've asked them to video, such as the undercarriage (for rust).

All the paperwork is being done via email and text.

Man, this thread becomes a “support group” for some of us while we wait on our trucks! I do wish Ram would do a better job managing expectations after we place out order.

I’m just shooting from the hip here but will wonder out loud if there might not be justification for RAM to consider not only a portal for us to track our vehicles without the semi-worthless RAM CHAT but also to offer a concierge type service. They could sublet to a company to park & store the RAMS who would meet us at the airport or Amtrak station to take us to get our trucks. The Germans had this for years and may still offer it. The high price and erratic transport might just be the reason this makes sense......what do you guys (& gals) think?

I was told it would probably take 8-10 weeks from order to arrival, but it could possibly take 12-14 weeks. I've decided it's going to take 14 weeks and anything short of that is a bonus. Knowing more about the build progress would be nice, but it's really not necessary.

My name is jimothy and I’ve been waiting 6 weeks and 2 days. It’s been 3 minutes since I last refreshed my build sheet.

I have actually never used the ram chat yet. I was still in D status last week (the one time I reached back out to the dealer).
my subconscious irrationally figures that each time ram chat is contacted your build is sent to the back of the line. Lol
See I'm different. I figure the more times I contact them then they will hurry up and get me out of their hair. 😂

The Warren plant is 200 miles closer than the dealership I ordered from. If they'd cut $1K off shipping and pay someone $695/vehicle for setting up a "pickup site" outside the plant, that would be awesome. Or, something like that.
