Same here - my window sticker say Active Air Dam Delete (-$85). At least it's built and, I presume, shipped.
Seems like they should offer to install the Active Air Dam for $85 when it becomes available. That would be fair.

Anybody know what the impact of deleting this feature is? Slight change in mileage perhaps?

Excellent video -- thanks for posting it.

After watching the video, I did a short web search. I understand that trucks with air suspensions already lower the truck at speed (less than 1" I think). The air dam extends ~2.5". The sites I read says that FCA deletes the air dam on trucks with air suspension implying that either it isn't needed or that the air dam would extend too low.

In any case, deleting the air dam would certainly simplify the truck and make it cheaper to repair if the front end gets damaged.

Deleting the feature doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

I've been checking on the original build that I had ordered just to provide updates to this group. Ordered on 3/10, VIN 3/12. D1 4/19 (Same day I picked up my truck from the lot that had what I wanted), Buildsheet 5/3 and today RAM Chat says it is complete and ready "for the road" so I assume that means ready to ship. No ETA provided and there is no window sticker yet. That makes it 9 weeks today. I'll be interested in the Window Sticker to see what the price went up to. Also asked RAM Chat about the chip shortage and their answer was "they had an issue in early April but it has been resolved." I would take that as they reallocated to what was ordered and won't build any fleet orders with those chips. Also said that vehicle is supposed to have two Key Fobs. They also confirmed no more 2021 Orders which also may be how they "resolved" the chip shortage.

I feel for everyone still waiting. Just got lucky to find my unicorn a month ago on a lot. If anyone is looking for a Ltd EcoDiesel, ORP, BUG, Indigo/Frost, Sunroof, Ltd Level 1, Trailer Brake in Max Steele DM me and I'll get you the contact information for the SA. Should be in Colorado Springs in another three weeks or so.
Glad you are enjoying your unicorn from the lot! Thanks for the timeline, helpful. I ordered a very similar unicorn the day before you and am still in D1. There really doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to some of these.

View attachment 93176 As we all wait for our Rams, I thought that I would share what I saw on the way home last night. Looks like there are two Ford owners that will have to get back in line...
Yousers!

I ordered a RAM1500 because I thought it was the best truck out there. Now I find out that Fords can park on their sides.... especially handy on those narrow streets.

Ramcares told me the other day that no Rams were being built since the end of March due to the chip shortage. Also told me that Rams are not built at Sterling Heights. Take what they with a grain of salt.

I think they are talking about the classic, built at Warren, which has been shuttered to divert the chips to Sterling Heights to keep our gen 5's rolling...hopefully.

I've seen people in the forum talk about having air suspension and also getting the active air damn, though I think it was only on more recent models, so there must have been some programming or sizing fix.

Is there a site to see how your build is coming or does everyone just call your dealer? I just ordered on 05/03 and after a week of not knowing if my order was actually "ordered" or if I was SOL..
I received confirmation that status is "D- firm schedule serial number is assigned"

I have the 360 camera and I do not have the dashed line. in the middle. You can see the hitch in camera view though which could help out with the alignment.
I have the 360 Surround and have the dashed line in the backup camera. I attached a couple of pictures. Note the “selected camera view” changes if you have the dashed line. Also note the tight fit in the garage door!

I’ve got the air suspension and the active air dam on my 2021 Ltd.

Your fact trumps my guess. Thanks for correcting the record. And ignore my previous speculation. I have no idea why some people are seeing active air dam deletes.

Still, I won't get upset if mine doesn't have the feature. There are too many things to like about the vehicle.

Dealer called its on the lot!!!!!!! Gonna pick her up after work tomorrow. Living close to the plant has some benefits, just got my window sticker this morning.

I'll be sure to post up some pics for everyone 😁. So glad this wait is over, tomorrow will be 10 weeks exactly since I ordered.
