The news keeps getting worse.

Yesterday I posted that RAM reset my "D1" date. Originally both RAM chat and my dealer told me 4/16. Yesterday both RAM chat and my dealer told me that RAM reset my D1 date to 4/30. Not sure what happened to the parts that they said were already in-house.

Yesterday my dealer told me my new production complete date is estimated as 5/13. He showed me the report so I know his data was accurate.

Today, Jeff at RAM Chat said that my truck might not start production until 5/21. So RAM keeps pushing the date later.

I see that high end trucks that other people from this forum order often get much faster delivery. I'm speculating that I bought from a fairly low volume dealer and that somebody at the dealer, region or national level keeps yanking my production slot to support others. But maybe there is some other explanation for what is going on.

Maybe it's the Limited 10th Anniv trim? I wonder if they wait to group them together on the line.

Little update: my window sticker popped up. Might have been up for a little while.

I ordered mine on April 14th and 12 weeks out is July 7th........am I suddenly not going to be getting a truck??? How did it let the dealer take my order of the due date for the new 1500s was already passed?!

Note that the table says Fleet Final Order Due Date, so that must not apply to individual orders. Also, a 12 week estimate would include time for transport/delivery to the dealer, which judging from others experiences, can be a couple of weeks alone.

So, as an educated guess, if your truck comes off the line before July 4, you're probably fine and will get the 2021 Ram you ordered (even if it arrives after July 4).

I’m seeing people’s builds surpass mine. I’m still in D limbo at exactly four weeks. I ordered 4/8. Not exactly why orders after mine are on the assembly line. I really hope my truck arrives before July. Ram chat seems to get aggravated when checking too often. Once they crush me with the scheduling phase they don’t even respond to any other questions. My salesman tells me he is on it and as soon as he sees something he’ll let me know. Much easier to find truck on a lot and drive it home. Problem for me is all he has is a TRX. 30k over sticker which was already 30k over my sticker plus really isn’t an every day drive. Wish I had the extra 60k sitting around

Yeah, I was just too cheap to spend the extra $$$ and I am doing long trips up north with the fuel economy on the TRX would be insane operating cost. But it's a nice truck, for someone that doesn't need to drive it on a daily basis or long distance or just has lots of cash to burn

i got one too, and have never entered info on the website. I'm wondering if it's coming from when they ask you to enter your info at the beginning of a Ramchat session?

I hear you. I ordered 3/9 and hit D1 last week after 8 weeks. Still there as of today. After reading this forum for 2 months, it seems that Big Horn's have a better chance of going faster, Limited's tend to go slower, Rebels and Laramie's are a crapshoot could go either way, and Canada adds a month. But there are exceptions to all those trends so it's really anyone's guess...

go to rams website. click on SHOPPING TOOLS, then on the left side column click on GET A BROCHURE, Fill out the form to have them send one to you. You then might get one. Its like a lottery some people get them and some don't.

My sympathy to you & Mass Diesel and others in the same place. I'm right there with you. I've been posting my progress as it happens so others can get a sense of what may happen with their orders. My order was on 2/28 and still waiting for a solid production estimate.

My biggest disappointment was being sent from D1 back to D status & having the clock reset. To me, the most likely explanation is that the parts got reallocated to a different truck. But maybe something else happened.

I am glad when others post positive progress on their RAMs & especially encouraged when they post that they have taken delivery. I'm sure we'll all get there eventually.

Ordered Feb 16th...delivered (Seattle) May 6th. I'll be flying out there tomorrow and picking it up and then driving to NC while sightseeing and vacationing.

I told my wife of 30+ years, "It'll be a great opportunity for us to get to know one another."

ETA: I also told her, based on my calculations, after filling up near the dealer, we'd only have to stop twice to fuel.
