Hi All,
I have the 33 gallon tank and it seems like the truck believes it's a 26 gallon. I went to get gas while the gas light was on filled up with 26 gallons. Does anyone else have this issue?
When I did gas up, I had the max range of about 370 miles which is pretty low for a 33 gallon tank. Even if it's 15 mpg, 15 *33 is 495 miles range?

Is it possible to add the 33 gallon tank to one with the smaller tank? Would be a nice mod since I didn’t have it installed from the factory.

On 4th gen Rams the Low Fuel message was designed to trigger when the computer sensed there was around 50 miles left to empty. Industry practice is to not allow a vehicle to run out of fuel and leave someone stranded despite the operator intentionally or unintentionally trying to go beyond the low fuel warning message.

On my 2014 with the 32 gallon tank, I never put more than 29 or so gallons in it, and that was a time I drove well beyond the warning message. (I also had a five gallon can of gas in the bed for insurance!) I just looked at my fuel log and the most I've put in the 33 gallon tank on the '19 was 28 gallons, so far. Even so, the computer was telling me I had over 700 miles on the next tank.

It may be possible that you don't actually have a 33 gallon tank (unlikely if it's on the Morony), or the system thinks it has a 26 gallon tank. Either way I'd have the dealer check it out.

Best regards,
Dusty

I noticed the exact same thing on mine, filled up three times now, and all three times was at 26 on the fill up. My build sheet says 33 gal included.

Well dang. I need to find a new station since I can't fill up at my local one. Cuts me off at $75 but that's mostly full. I wasn't on empty so I'm confident I've got more room than 26 gal.

You're fine. The most I've been able to fit in mine is 27 when the light went on, and I have the larger tank, These beasts have a massive reserve, that's why you can "only" fit 26/27 when empty.

Well that’s BS. I ordered the 33 so I have the range of 33, not the range of 33 but the last 5 gallons it says “E” and it’s guess work. I lived this w my ‘16 and it sucked
