I have a 2019 PW, Had rotator cuff surgery in Dec 2020, 1-1/2 weeks after surgery was driving under a bridge with no other vehicles around at about 40 MPH, Alert goes off and truck slams on brakes causing seat belt to re tear my newly repaired rotator cuff. Doctor is 100% sure this was a result of the FCW malfunction. This sucks. Any ideas out there on how to get Ram to own up to the issue, and possibly take some responsibility for my injury?

Good luck proving that.
I've had mine go off just before passing under a bridge and freeway overhead signs but it just beep and flashes red on dash, never applying the brakes. Probably happened 3 times in 6 months

Take a video of you or someone else and the truck driving down the road under that same bridge and have it occur again. Send that video to them and tell them your story. Maybe it will go somewhere. I don't think you really have a way of proving anything that would gain you compensation though. There is no way for you to unequivocally prove that the FCW malfunctioned and caused your seatbelt to tear your rotator cuff, even with your doctor saying so.

The only way would be to sue, and hope they settle.
Not sure it would be worth it, but not much chance otherwise.

I had the exact same thin happen as I was pulling under a overpass. The truck nailed the brakes just as the front end met the shadow of the overpass. Luckily no-one else around or behind me. I'm sure it would've caused someone to run into me from behind. I wasn't going fast but it brought me to complete stop very fast!

It happens every-single-time on a particular bridge, and a specific spot, here in Cinci. I have turned off the autobraking.
