Looking at buying a bull bar and cutting two holes to relocate my front sensors. Trying to find a relocation kit that includes extensions and plugs. Anyone know if something like that is out there?

Did you find?
Cause I would like to do the same)))
Maybe you have information?

I've been looking for the same thing. Putting on a TAC Predator Bull bar and need to relocate the sensors. I finally found a kit that will work with the 5th gen. Westin 40-0045S black or 40-0040S stainless. Around $80 comes with housings and hardware. Will post once everything is done in a few weeks.

I finally got the time to do the install. Here's the link to the kit I bought.

The kit is not exactly what is pictured. Brackets are quite different and the harness has plugs on both sides. I did not use the brackets as I was able to drill out holes on my bull bar and install there. They provide both pass trough grommets and plugs for the old mount holes. System works as good as new!

I am glad the kit worked for you. I have a 2020 RAM Laramie I have not been able to find parking sensor extensions for. It has the 6MK25TRMAA sensors that have an oval 3-pin connector. Any help in finding a supplier would be great. Westin kit doesn’t work for these sensors, nor does the steelcraft relocate kit.

what year is your ram?

I realize this is an old thread, but has anyone found a parking sensor relocation kit that fits the sensors like Dan56 shows above? Mine is a '22 Limited and I purchased a Warn 12s platinum, but I'm limited on mounting options until I can figure out a way to relocate the sensors. I would really like a simple mount that offers more bumper protection that the Vice hidden mount type. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I got a “late” start in and to this thread (as it is presently May 2024.)

I am still posting anyway, just in case some “future” RAM 1500 people may need some help.

I purchased the Westin Westin HDX Grille Guard (and Winch) from www.westinautomotive.com

I also purchased the Sensor relocation kit (from Westin) - as the Guard tray totally Blocks 🙅‍♂️ the front parking sensors.

The part number for the RAM 1500 is -
  1. 40-0045S
(See attached photos, and/or download the instructions/install files, directly from the Westin web site).👍

Overall, all went well with the Grille Bar installation, except for the sensor relocation - as it seems that the RAM computer is somewhat now “confused” - but I think this just a matter of moving the sensors around, till it [they] get back in “Sync.” (Maybe??)🤷‍♂️

Right now, with this guard you have to relocate the sensors at least 12 inches [vertically] “upward” 👆 (on the Bar).

I believe the relocation of the sensors (this high) really knocks the sensors “Out of Alignment.”😵‍💫

The Westin instructions say to mount the sensors around 12 inches apart from one another (horizontally), on the bar itself.

Mine I did about 16 inches apart (which may be a part of my problem).🥵

I’m going to first:
1) Point the sensors “downward” to see if that will work, or

2) Move them to the 12 inch separation (mentioned in the Westin instructions).

Hopefully 🙏, one of these methods will work (to get my front sensors working, again).

I will report back here (whenever [or whatever] works).👍

PS - if anyone else other there has gotten there Relocation to work then please let me know (as far as the BEST place to put these).

Did you get this working? I assume the pigtail connections fit, and you are just having an issue with the location, correct? If it all fits, I will buy and try to figure out the location issue, just dont want to buy and it just not work. 2023 RAM 2500 Laramie.

I extended mine by just cutting the harness and extending the 2 wires with marine grade shrink butt connectors. Cost about $5. Like others my RAM was not happy after moving the sensors. They worked but would false a lot. Now I just run them permanently off like its the 90s again.

What makes me laugh is that all the manufacturers and suppliers of the bull bars seem to state "this may interfere with parking sensors" whereas it should say "this will definitely interfere with parking sensors" they are aware that the bars will cover the front inner sensors. Rather than take out the existing parking sensors, I bought 4 new ones on Amazon for $30 and the sleeves that hold them on E Bay. I did order the sleeves on Amazon but all of the sellers there are selling sleeves that do not hold the sensors properly. Anyhoo rather than pay silly money for extension cables, I decided to just snip the existing and the attach again on the end of extension leads.

How did you guys get the grate out to remove the parking sensors. I need to replace my sensors but don’t want to break the grate, it seems like it’s screwed in or something.

Another late joiner to this string, any comments on whether there's any excess wire on the existing sensors so I could maybe just relocate from the stock bumper on my 2020 Ram 1500 (ecodiesel) to a new bumper with pre-drilled mounting holes (like this Iron Bull Bumpers ) ?
