Anybody know when Bilsteins 5100 adjustable front shocks will be available again. Really want Bilstein because of the 0-2 inch rear shock option but I’m tired of waiting. Might just go with eibach and be done.

I’ve tried tons of online retailers, none have them. Any ideas of timeline or know of a secret online honey hole with shocks in stock?

When I reached out to one of the retailers, they said maybe 3/22, but who knows if that’s true or not. Could be shorter or longer

Me too. I’m thinking the combo won’t be available again due to high demand, especially the 5160/ those you can’t find no where only the 6112

The 5160s are out of stock mostly on the rear right (25-299267). I confirmed with a Bilstein rep that the only difference between right/left of the 5160s are the sticker placement and direction of bracket that holds the external reservoir. I bought two lefts (25-299946) and installed them a couple weeks ago and works fine (as long as you're not OCD about the stickers).

Holy crap! Curious, why wouldn't they be making Left and Right shocks at the same pace?
I'm guessing they did. There could be many reasons why stock of one side gets depleted faster than the other (warranty replacements, people buying just one for whatever reason, unexpected scrap rate for 1 side, etc.). Not sure what their operation is like, but when you encounter delays like what COVID has done to everyone, companies have to make manufacturing decisions focusing on revenue. Figure they're trying to pump out the high runners like the 5100s or 5160s for makes/models that sell in high quantities. I'm curious why they don't just make a single SKU for the 5160 (like they do for the rear 5100s) with a reservoir bracket that can be removed, flipped, and reinstalled on a fully assembled shock.

I'm going to guess that they use the right shock for display purposes. ;)

I ordered a set of 5100s (all 4) from Jackit.com two nights ago. It was around $460. I received the confirmation email that the order was received. Keeping my fingers crossed that they ship soon.

More and more reading this, I might be going the 6112 route for the front....was hoping not to spend that much money, but when it comes to my Ram, it might be worth it. I'm really itching to get it done because I need to get tires sorted for it so I can get do some beach driving/surf fishing with it this summer. If I can get the front done, and then worry about upgrading the rears later, I'd be ok with that.

I signed up for the Bilstein website updates for when they come back in stock and haven't seen any emails for it in a month or so. Would like to level the truck out before adding wheels/tires.

I have set of 5100 fronts still in the box. If availability remains an issue, I could sell mine. I just figured shipping will be expensive so haven't tried to sell them. Figured I would put them up for local sale sometime. Got them a few months ago, and then decided to go with 6112/5160s instead. Right now, everything is in my garage, still in the box. :(

Where are you located. Would be interested in AZ if close.

I received an email from Jackit.com last night. It will be 4 to 6 weeks before they receive the 5100s from Bilstein. :-(

Looking more and more like I’m going with the 6112’s up front. Hate to spend extra money when I don’t do any real off-roading but I’m tired of waiting and the 6112 is probably a better riding shock anyway. Anybody have the 6112’s?
