Anyone have an experience with Baja Design S2 reverse lights? Any reviews on these and install advice is appreciated!

The oem reverse light barely put out anything so looking for some light!

Seems overpriced and the install cuts into your wiring harness.

I have them installed prior to the kit. I am very happy.
There are many options for reverse lights in price and installation.
Recommend you review the various posts.

start at post #27 for my install prior to the kit

No need to cut your harness as there are Curt "intermediate" harnesses. I recommend the 7 wire if you want auxiliary power option at the rear of the truck.

Lot of information in the "Compilation" post.

Purchased at CJ Pony, can also purchase for less without the harness.

Why would you need to spend that kind of money and Time when you can just replace the bulbs?

i must be missing something

De gustibus non est disputandum

Additional option on lighting if you want the reverse lights on with bed lights (Ram not running), Off or just reverse lights.

Can't replace the LED reverse bulbs and they are inadequate.

I see a review that stated it doesn't work on 5th gen ram because it hits the tailgate a d rubs the paint when open.
I believe some may get lucky but it appears most have to trim the bottom of the license plate and drill new holes for the plate and light. It rubbed on my tailgate and I chose to go with the Bajas.

I haven’t had any issues with that at all , and I use it all the time with the tailgate down hauling the quad around . Hasn’t happened to me yet . And worst case , buy a foam strip to stick on top of the light so if it does rub , it only rubs on foam .

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. There is some good info here!

I can confirm that the Xenon Depot license plate reverse led assy works perfect with no tailgate contact as well. A simple splice into the tow harness and you're done.
