I had been noticing an air leak sound coming from the door, right around my ear when driving. Happening on the passenger side as well. Thought the door may not be closed properly or just not a good seal but the strangest thing happened, when I shut the fan off the noise went away (had the heat on). I experimented and found that the noise only happens when I am using outside air mode when the fan is on. If I go to recirculate mode, the noise stops. I can not figure out why this is happening because it hasn't always been this way and it is a distraction. Anyone else having this issue?

Back seat , back right , vent under the carpet . Doesn’t function 100% sometimes doesn’t close . Have the same issue
I finally found some threads where several have had issues. Been a few suggestions from rear vents to sealant under cowl panel plenum. Were you able to do anything to fix yours? Min e hasn't always been this way.

And thanks for the response.

The incoming air isn't escaping the cab as fast as it's coming in and "blowing out" your door seals. Make sure you don't have a bunch of stuff under the rear seat blocking off the rear cab vents

Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty sure I don't but will check just in case. As a test, I cracked open the back sliding glass because I was worried about the pressure issue and I could still hear the noise unless i went to recirculate. It just wasn't as bad.

My back seat is clear , although I do leave my seats up .I like the space lol . And I honestly stopped letting it bother me . It comes and goes I left it alone
It's one of those things thats now I know it's there, it'll bug me until I take care of it. Looks like I'm not alone on this problem.

Hi @bhardy5005, we certainly can understand how this would be distracting! If you are not able to determine a solution based on suggestions from fellow forum members and you decide to address this with your Ram dealer, please be sure to follow up with us via private message. We would be more than willing to escalate your situation to a specialist who can work alongside you and your dealer while your truck is in service.
