2020 Laramie Sport: is it possible to have the factory fogs programmed to turn on whenever I want them to be - headlights off, or hi-beams on - as opposed to only when the headlight low beams are on?

When I bought my Harley dresser, the factory passing lamps were set up to shut off when the high beam was switched on. It took the dealer to change the programming, but now when the passing lamp switch is activated the lamps are on regardless of the headlight condition. I'm wondering if the fog lights on my RAM can be set up the same?

Yes, get AlfaODB. You can remove the fog light drop out. Tazer will also do it. You might ask too if someone lives close to you could do it with AlfaODB.

It is due to old laws/regulations around headlights, few FCA dealers will probably program this for you (if any), unfortunately.

Don't forget about the security bypass module. I don't believe AlfaOBD and a bluetooth module by themselves will work due to the extra security, the security bypass will also be needed.

The above mentioned methods will be able to get your fog lights on with high beams, but they can’t make them able to be turned on without either the parking lights or headlights being on.
