Alright guys we are back after a pretty crazy few days.

To simplify what happened, I was doing some work on the back end of the websites, at that same time a forced database upgrade came out that caused issues for certain versions of software that we just happened to be running. That couple with changes I was making in the back end made it difficult to pinpoint exactly what happened quickly.

After I did pinpoint it I decided to keep the forum offline for a while longer to make some changes that I had been wanting to make for quite some time.

We are now mostly back to 100%, there will probably be a few bugs that will show up in this live environment, so if you have any problems just let me know and I will look into them. Currently email notifications aren't working but I will have those up shortly

I apologize for the downtime and we have made some changes to ensure that it doesn't happen again.

It might just be on my end, but the forums are really, really slow now, like worse than dialup slow.

It was odd, as I was able to sneak in on Saturday and post. Then shut down Sunday. Glad to have it back up! Thanks Jared.

Can I make a suggestion the next time this happens.... Since the main home page on 5thgenrams was still up when the forum wasn't can you maybe just put the information regarding forum issues here? Just so the members know if it's a problem on their end or an issue on your end. As I was checking the site daily as other members, I was able to sneak in on certain days and see information. I could sneak a peak with search links (like post specific) but couldn't see the forum if I just clicked forums when coming to 5thgenrams without a search. So at the beginning I was wondering if it was a problem on my end, but soon figured the site was down. Maybe update the 5thgenrams Facebook page too... Just a friendly suggestion.

I'm glad the forum is back up and running. I know it's a lot of work to keeps these pages up and running smoothly and appreciate all the work the staff members at 5thgenrams do. If it wasn't for you folks, we wouldn't have this wondering forum with tons of knowledge information.

Funny thing, I posted about a group buy for the Taser DT during the downtime and didn't know if it had posted or not as it was when I was able to sneak in. Sure enough I seen that it did post haha.. I am a sneaky bugger ;)

Also, not sure if it's just me or others.... I have no problem accessing the site from a computer web browsers. When I try to use my cell phone, it just brings up a index page. this is what it says...

Is this a me problem with cookies or are their cellphone issues.

This only happens when clicking forum main page, if I click a specific part of the site like modificatins/accessories etc.. Works fine on the computer tho.

Try refreshing your cell phone browser or clearing its cache. The forum is loading fine on my Android phone.

And to your earlier point, I agree. I looked at the main page and the Facebook page expecting to see some kind of advisement regarding the forum outage. Seems it would have been a simple thing to do.

I don't even know why I didn't delete my cache before posting, knowing full well that was probably was it was. So thanks for the heads up, as mine is also an Android phone. It works just fine now, thanks again.

Yes I figured the main page and Facebook would have been updated. I only seen 1 person commented on some pictures on the Facebook page and 2 people responded. But not official announcement, it may avoid confusion with people next time.

Have to admit I resigned myself to never getting another upgrade for my truck because the forums were going to be down permanently 😢

I’m feeling relieved, thought the forum was gone. Didn’t realize how much surfing I really did here. Glad we’re back!

Thanks for getting this running again.

Being in FB jail for another 19 days (I was one of the conservatives that got Zuc'd pre-election) - I was running out of cool places to hang out...
