I'm 3 months into owning my 2019 Ram 1500 Limited. About 3 weeks ago the temperature dropped to below 75 in the mornings. Ever since then when I start the engine and its cold (iunder 75) and the engine is cold upon start up it idles at 1300, then drops down to about 1000 and sounds like its going to turn off and is gasping for air, then revs back up to 17-1800 RPM. It does this a few times and after about 30 seconds gets to its normal idle. I made a video I can post. I've called my dealership everyday this week and haven't gotten a call back. Before I lose my truck for a few days by dropping it off with them I thought I'd ask here.

Just an FYI I just updated my thread with some new info and I'd bet dollars to donuts it's your fuel pump.
If I were you I'd request them to check the fuel pressure first thing to see if its a pump issue to avoid a situation like mine.
Does your truck have a late may or early june build date by chance?

Hi Tacticalpanda,
I understand how this would be concerning. Once you decide to have your dealer look into this, you can also send us a private message so we can have this documented for further handling.

what ended up happening to your truck? I have the same issue on a 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn I’m located in California.
