Hello everyone!! I am about to purchase a brand new 2020 ram 1500 North Edition with the 5.7 hemi and 3.92 gears. I am very excited to get it tomorrow. However I would love to see how people’s trucks are holding up and who has the highest mileage on their truck. This will really help nail down my decision to purchase it. Thank you!!!

I have a 2019 with 29K and cab leak was my main issue. Solved and have been through torrential storms with no adverse affects. But in full disclosure I have about as basic as a Laramie you can get.

so if some one told you it was the worst pos someone's ever had would you still buy it? just stating you know you can find such a thing on this forum along with just the opposite so I guess I just don't see the point in this. YOU make your decision....ps I know you're just wanting feed back, but still... and btw I still love my truck but the rear slider leaks. this is a huge issue on this forum...

Just getting feedback on things and what to look out for. How many miles you have on your truck?

Okay I just see people are having camshaft issues with their trucks wanted to see if it was a common thing for people with some immediate responses. Thank you

i would get it, go on a tundra forum and you'll feel like tundra's the most problematic truck out there. I haven't had any issues with mine at 5,600 miles, and my 4th gen big horn with the same powertrain ran great for 60K. I commuted with that truck and ran it real hard and was on 35's for most of that time. Ran great.
I think Ram's are by far the best value in the pickup segment right now and you do have a warranty

Okay awesome thank you for the feedback. No ticking noise or anything like that from your engine? I see people are having camshaft issues
nothing super noticeable. maybe a light tick but everyone seems to call that the "HEMI TICK" and chock it as normal. Have you seen cam issues with the 5th gens? from my knowlage they changed the lifter manufacturer in 2017 and it seemed to help.

I do have lifter tick but only on start-up for 2-3 seconds, and it's more prevalent in cold weather...

Oh okay was just wondering. So I should be okay with the 2020. I see if you follow the recommended octane level and use the right oil in your truck it should be just fine for the most part. People that are having issues tend to not be following the users manual it seems like

I have just over 15,000 on my 2019 Longhorn. I`ve had it for just over 1 year. The only issue was a bumper fitment problem and it was easily corrected at the dealership. I`m also a former long time, many trucks, GMC & Chevrolet owner. Thus far I`m very pleased with the change. My overall fuel mileage is slightly better than my last Chevy LTZ 5.3 with heavy towing & 3.73 gears.

I have a 2019 Ram Limited that I have had for 10 months and I got 30k on it, the only issue I had with my truck was a wind noise in the sunroof. They replaced the seal within the first 500 miles and no issues since. It's the smoothest, best riding truck I have ever owned.

Awesome that is really great to hear. Only thing that scared me really was camshaft issues. But I read in the manual you need to use 89 octane for the best performance and use penzoil and couple different oils for oil changes. So I think should just be able to do that and I’ll be fine

Yeah that’s very true. I was on the edge of just purchasing a tundra just because of the reliability, but it just does not offer much for the money. But that is awesome to hear man thank you, all of this feedback is making it easier to make this purchase lol.

I was looking at tundras as well before I got my current ram. Decided they’re a lot more money for less features. Figured if I would have to spend money on repairing on my ram down the road out of warranty, I’ll be using the money I saved on the ram instead of buying the tundra
